Day Shift December 1
23-015156 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Theft – Police responded to the police department to speak with a party who reported she was contacted by her bank on 11/28/2023 about a suspicious check from her account. According to the victim, a check she mailed from the East Ridge Post Office had been altered which included the check number, amount, and payee. The complainant cancelled the check and reported it to her bank’s fraud department, where a report was made.
Night Shift December 1
23-015187 – 3900 BLK Weldon Drive – Public Intoxication / Violation of Order of Protection – Police were called to this address to check the well-being of a party that was possibly violating a TPO. Police checked the scene and could not locate the party. Police were called back to the residence by Chattanooga PD to check the well-being of the mother who was on scene. While officers were speaking with the mother, police observed the party that was prohibited from being at the residence severely intoxicated in the yard. Police took the party into custody for public intoxication and violation of a TPO.
23-015183 – I-75 NB Welcome Center – Person Shot- Police responded to the welcome center following a 911 call that a person had been shot. Upon arrival, police discovered that the caller had shot himself before calling 911. The caller was transported, and CID was contacted.
23-015174 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Public Intoxication – Police were dispatched to a reckless driver and observed the vehicle on Ringgold Rd. Upon speaking to the driver inside the gas station she was found to be impaired. She was arrested for Public Intoxication and her vehicle was towed.
23-015196 – 6000 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Arrest – Police observed a Yellow Kia Rio following too closely and conducted a stop. The driver was found to have an outstanding Probation Violation warrant out of East Ridge. He was also found in possession of Fentanyl Tablets. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-015197 – 700 BLK Belvoir Ave – Traffic Stop / Evading – Police attempted to stop a black sedan after it improperly passed another vehicle on Belvoir Avenue. The vehicle turned eastbound on South Terrace and refused to stop. Police terminated the attempted traffic stop after the suspect vehicle went onto I-24 Eastbound. The black sedan had an unreadable temporary tag, and the identity of the driver was unknown.
Day Shift December 2
23-015220- 1500 BLK South Mack Smith Road- Unconscious in a Vehicle – ERPD responded to 1500 South Mack Smith Road on report of vehicle stopped in the roadway at this busy intersection and two male occupants, unresponsive. The passenger and owner of the vehicle was the first to arouse after repeated hard banging on the vehicle. The driver was arrested for DUI and other narcotics violations. As the owner of the vehicle, and allowing an intoxicated person to drive, the owner was charged with DUI by consent. He asked about the cash in the center console and stated it was his money as were all items in the center console. Also found in the center console was a small amount of Fentanyl powder, several grams of hallucinogenic mushrooms, burnt tin. He admitted to narcotics possession. The vehicle showed cancelled registration due to a lack of insurance.
23-015210 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Rd – Theft/Evading – Police responded to meet with a woman in reference to a possible theft from her residence. She stated she was contacted by Terry a mutual acquaintance of her and another man and advised a party was possibly stealing items from her residence. After confirming some items recovered by the caller belonged to her, she was asked to transport him to the hospital due to back pain, where she then called for police. Police attempted to locate the suspect in the hospital to inquire about the stolen items, however, he fled at the sight of police. After a brief foot pursuit, he was taken into custody. The subject was also found to have a valid HCSO warrant.
23-015223 – 1500 BLK McDonald Rd – Theft from Vehicle – Caller advised their rear window was busted out while they were visiting the facility. A Louis Viton purse with a Coach wallet were taken from the vehicle. No suspect information at this time.
Night Shift December 2
23-015228 – 3600 BLK Helen Lane – Domestic Assault – Officers responded regarding a juvenile striking their sister. Before officers arrived on scene, the juvenile fled. Officers took statements from the parties on scene and reviewed video footage. Officers are seeking attachments on the juvenile for domestic assault.
23-015239 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive – Vandalism – Officers responded regarding shots fired. The complainant advised they heard a pop then the sliding glass door shattered on the outside. Another party advised officers of the same thing. Officers heard the same noise the victims heard and determined it was a pellet or airsoft rifle. Officers were able to determine where the suspected party was firing the rifle from but did not locate anything.
23-015229 – 1300 BLK Dover Lane – Theft- Police spoke with the complainant about a red 14’ Heritage style kayak that was stolen from the carport. No suspect information currently.
23-015236- 7609 Standifer Gap Road – Warrant Service – Police served a woman with a Failure to appear warrant while in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
23-015248 – 1500 BLK Mcbrien Road– SIA / Found Property – During a knock and talk at this address the owner consented to a search. Before withdrawing his consent, multiple credit cards listed to different individuals were located between mattresses in the bedroom. They were turned into property. Investigation is ongoing.
Day Shift December 3
23-015255- 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd. – Public Intoxication, Indecent Exposure – ERPD officers were flagged down by an employee and a customer who had just left the store appeared intoxicated and was bothering customers. The party was observed urinating in an adjacent parking lot in public view. ERPD observed what did indeed appear to be intoxicated person. He was issued a Criminal Trespass Warning.
23-015266 – 1500 BLK McDonald Road – theft from a vehicle – Police were dispatched regarding a theft from a vehicle. The victim stated someone had entered her locked vehicle and stole her credit cards and her checkbook along with $580 cash. Investigation is ongoing.
23-015256- 4300 BLK Esterbrook Drive- Arrest- Police were called to this address for a male knocking loudly on the residence door and would not leave. Police encountered the man who was found to have warrants out of East Ridge. He was taken into custody for warrants for vandalism and criminal trespassing.
Night Shift December 3
23-015282 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest / Seach Warrant – Police observed High traffic in and out of room 101 at the motel and conducted a stop on occupants leaving the room. That stop yielded narcotics, two handguns, and drug paraphernalia. A search Warrant was written for the hotel room and yield potentially stolen items and a lock box containing additional narcotics and paraphernalia. One party was charged with Possession of Schedule II for resale, and possession of firearm while committing a dangerous felony. Another was charged with unlawful possession of a firearm by convicted felon. A third subject was issued a misdemeanor citation for Drug paraphernalia.
Day Shift December 4
23-015300- 1000 BLK Lansdall Road- Deceptive Practice- Police spoke with the complainant on the phone regarding some identity theft and loss of funds from his accounts over the last two months. He stated he started getting phone calls about a check he believed was sent to him from a lender, possibly stolen, then possibly fraudulently signed, and cashed. The victim says his main concern is over a prepaid debit card with no overdraft possibility but was somehow fraudulently over drafted for two hundred dollars. He was advised to put a freeze on all his accounts and notify the Social Security Office.
Night Shift December 4
23-015319 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police observed a man run into traffic then plow headfirst into an oncoming car. Police located him at the rear of the business on Ringgold Road. While checking on him, he lunged at officers attempting to grab their tasers. Officers subdued the man and placed wrist restraints on to secure his hands. He continued to resist arrest even as officers transported him from the scene. The subject was transported to the hospital and on to jail.
