Day Shift December 3
23-001367 – 2700 BLK E. 21st Street – Arrest-Warrant – A man was arrested on original warrants of Littering and Evading Arrest.
24-015200 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Auto Theft / Recovery – A party reported a known female suspect had stolen his 2014 white Volkswagen Passat when he drove her to a gas station to get her a drink. A short time later the vehicle was abandoned on Sherwood Forest Lane in Catoosa County.
24-015203 – 5300 BLK Greenbriar Road – Harassment – A resident called the police to make a report of harassment. She alleged that around 1000 hours, an unknown man called her landline phone from and started cursing at her as soon as she answered. She asked the man why he was cursing at her, and she alleged that he responded, “Because you are old, I am going to continue calling you all day until you kill yourself.” She was advised not to answer her landline phone today and to just use her cellular device.
Night Shift December 3
24-015219 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Rd – Shoplifting – ERPD Responded for an indecent exposure call. An officer contacted a woman who was at the cash register. Employees stated they wanted her trespassed from the property due to her pants showing her rear. When the officer asked her to leave, she pulled out a pair of winter gloves belonging to the convenience store that she had stuffed into her jacket. Due to her concealing merchandise onto her person, she was Misdemeanor Cited for Shoplifting and trespassed from Speedway.
Day Shift December 4
24-015234 – 3400 BLK Gail Drive– Domestic Assault/Arrest – A woman reported her boyfriend threw her into a wall following a verbal argument and then stomped on her head. On scene, officers observed injuries consistent with her allegations. The suspect was subsequently taken into custody for Domestic Assault and transported to jail.
Night Shift December 4
24-015249– 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Several individuals advised a male took an electric cart from the grocery store and drove it across Ringgold Rd to another shop. The subject then entered the business but left on foot. Police checked the area but did not locate the suspicious person. An employee retrieved the electric cart, and it was unclear if the subject stole anything from either business.
24-015261 – 1400 BLK Adonna Lane – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested for Driving Under the Influence. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-015262 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road – Suspicious Person – Police responded to a Suspicious Person complaint at the hotel. The management advised a male wearing red pajama pants was walking through the parking lot and was not a guest at the hotel. Officers located the individual behind a nearby business and identified him. Police determined the man was the subject of several Suspicious Person complaints throughout the evening. He was checked for warrants and advised to stay away from the local businesses and motels.
24-015263 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person / Assist Other Agency – Police conducted a consensual encounter with a male sleeping in a white Honda Accord in a parking lot. It was determined he had four active warrants through the Hamilton County Sessions Court. The man was placed in custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift December 5
24-015274 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Wellbeing Check – A wellbeing check was conducted after an officer observed a woman slumped over in the driver’s seat of a white Saturn. She advised she was living out of her vehicle and simply resting. The party was checked for warrants and sent on her way.
Night Shift December 5
24-015287 – 5300 BLK Spriggs Street – Disorder with a Weapon – Officers responded to a disorder involving the discharge of a firearm. On scene, police located a highly intoxicated suspect and his wife in the residence. Upon further investigation, the Police found that they had been drinking moonshine and sporadically arguing throughout the evening. The male suspect then illegally obtained his wife’s 9mm handgun from a lock box and fired a single round in their front yard. The shooting incident was captured on a doorbell camera. The man was arrested for Disorderly Conduct, Felon in Possession of a Firearm, Possession of a Firearm while Intoxicated, and Reckless Endangerment.
24-015283 – 5900 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Citizen – Police conducted a traffic stop with a white Chevrolet truck after it was observed driving 12 miles per hour on Ringgold Road. The vehicle was holding up traffic and creating a hazard for other motorists. The officer spoke with the elderly driver and found he was confused and disoriented. Police provided the driver with a ride to his home and spoke with a family member concerning the situation.
24-015292 – 3700 BLK Olmstead Drive – Suspicious Activity – Residents at this address reported hearing movement outside their home and scratching at their doors. The residents stated they had been hearing the noises for several nights. Police checked the residence and found no signs of an attempted burglary or trespassing. Officers were unable to determine the source of the noises.
24-015295 – 3200 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Police stopped a white Toyota SUV after the driver was observed talking on a cellphone while operating the vehicle. The officer observed a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on her. Following Standardized Field Sobriety Tests, she was arrested and charged with Driving Under the Influence.
