December 09 – Day Shift
3402 Missionaire Avenue (stolen checks):
The complainant was contacted by the manager of her credit union concerning someone attempting to fraudulently cash one of her checks. The complainant believes she had four checks stolen from her mailbox yesterday between 5:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. (21-017789)
5707 Ringgold Road (criminal trespass):
The Dollar General manager requested police criminally trespass Nicholas Wilson from the store’s property. Wilson stated he would not return. (21-017791)
6519 Ringgold Road (vehicle burglary):
The complainant’s pickup truck was entered while parked on the lot of the Super 8 Motel. Two Milwaukee tool bag containing battery powered drills, grinders and other tools were stolen from the truck. (21-017778)

December 09 – Night Shift
3416 Land St (Suspicious Vehicle 21-017826):
A reporting party called in stating a gray sedan left the residence here. The party told dispatch they thought the people from the vehicle had been inside this residence which is currently condemned. Police did not locate anything.
6703 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-017828):
Police conducted a business check of the Dixieland Fireworks and came in contact with Calvin Carnes in the parking lot. After a short interview Carnes was taken into custody for public intoxication by methamphetamine
1410 Mack Smith Rd (Mail Theft / Check Fraud 21-017825):
Police were given a tip on suspects involved in ongoing mail theft and check fraud. Police were able to observe a male, who is allegedly involved in these activities, driving the same vehicle described in the tip. Police conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and discovered several documents, checks, and items of mail which implicated the man in the mail thefts and check fraud. Information and evidence was turned over to criminal investigations for additional follow up.
3500 Ringgold Rd ( Warrant Service 21-017818):
Mark Revels was detained on a Rhea County arrest warrants.
6514 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Vehicle 21-017821):
Police made contact with Christopher Walton who appeared to be asleep in a vehicle at the Mapco. A probable cause search of the vehicle yielded a large quantity of narcotics, paraphernalia, and a stolen firearm. Walton was arrested for resale amount of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, theft of property and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
3452 Ringgold Rd (Traffic Stop/Warrant 21-017820):
Police attempted to stop a white Lexus sedan at this address. The vehicle fled east on Ringgold Rd then north onto S. Germantown Rd. Police allowed the vehicle to flee safely per department policy. The vehicle was soon found disabled on South Terrace at Germantown Rd. The driver identified as Jonathan Smith then fled south on foot toward Anderson Ave. He was not located. Multiple warrants were taken for his arrest. Officers attempted to make contact with Smith at his residence in Ooltewah later in the evening. Smith refused to answer.

December 10 – Day Shift
21-017835- 3447 Bennett Road- Auto Theft in Progress-
The resident stated she came out of her house around 0708 hours, to start and warm the engine of her black 2014 Chevrolet Impala. When she came outside to leave, she witnessed her vehicle traveling west on Bennett Road. She observed a bald male approximately 6’0″, heavy set in build, driving off in her vehicle. She observed a white sedan, possibly an early model Nissan Sentra driven by a male, following behind her vehicle traveling in the same direction. The resident’s boyfriend attempted to follow the vehicles but lost sight of them as it traveled across Missionary Ridge then North on Shadowlawn into Chattanooga, TN. No further suspect information is available. Police entered the vehicle as stolen in the NCIC database.
21-017845- 6514 Ringgold Road- Auto Theft-
The caller at 1503 McDonald Road advised Erika Bell stole his vehicle. On scene police met with the victim, who advised his 2018 Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the Mapco at 6514 Ringgold Road. The victim advised he came to the Waverly motel room 116 to help Bell pay for her room. The victim was asked by Bell to get cash from the ATM at 6514. The victim went to the Mapco next door and left Bell in the car while he went inside to get money from the ATM. When the victim came back outside his vehicle was gone. When the victim made it back to room 116 he could see Bell driving off in his Jeep bearing TN tag 3K2-5M4. The victim advised his Jeep was last seen heading east on Ringgold Road. Police entered the Jeep in NCIC. Jeep was BOLO’d to surrounding agencies. The victim positively identified Bell as the suspect in the auto theft. Police will seek warrants against Bell for auto theft over 10,000.
21-017846- 3715 Ringgold Road- Theft-
The caller advised a female entered the store and attempted to steal items. Once she was confronted, she dropped the items and fled through a rear door of the business. She was last observed running toward the Cascade Motel. Police are in the process of trying to identify the female.
21-017848- 613 Marlboro Avenue- Disorder/Arrest-
Jasper Kroll was detained and transported on a Hamilton County warrant following a disorder at this location.
21-017852- 941 Spring Creek Road- Disorder-
The caller advised of a disorder in the parking lot of the hospital. While en route officers were advised the disorder was related to an 18-month-old child overdosing on the father’s heroin stash. On scene the father had already left the area and on further investigation it was found the incident had occurred at an address in Ft Oglethorpe, Georgia. Georgia authorities were advised. The child was transported from Parkridge East to Erlanger Children’s Hospital.

December 10 – Night Shift
4338 Ringgold Road / Kidnapping: (21-017862)
Police responded to kidnapping at the Checkers on Ringgold Road. After some investigation, police were able to safely locate the kidnapped party but not the suspect. The suspect, who is unknown to police, is driving an older dark green Honda Accord 2 door; it will have a duck’s unlimited sticker in the top right corner of the windshield and an unknown white sticker on the bottom left of the back window.
21-017881 S Sanctuary and Ringgold Road / Vehicle Pursuit / AOA:
Police assisted a lone Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputy in pursuit of an older model Chevrolet Silverado. When more of their units joined, ERPD discontinued.
21-017880 1000 McBrien Road / Crash-Hit and Run-DUI:
Nicole A. Pritchett was arrested for DUI after hitting a tree at the corner of McBrien Road and Weaver Street. Pritchett left the scene, fleeing into a house in the 5300 block of Weaver Street.
21-017872 6514 Ringgold Road (Arrest)
Ryan Blainey was arrested for Possession of Schedule II for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Alesia Henley was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and Simple Possession following a traffic stop at this location. Henley also had warrants out of Red Bank.
21-017886 5828 Ringgold Road (Warrant Service)
Kristen Burgess and David Cureton were arrested on Hamilton County Warrants during a traffic stop at this location following a rolling disorder.
800 S Germantown Rd (Evading Arrest 21-017877):
Police attempted a traffic stop on a blue Mercedes-Benz. The vehicle fled westbound on Ringgold Rd towards the tunnels at a high rate of speed. Police did not pursue per policy.
3200 block Gleason Dr (Warrant Service 21-017884):
Gerald McDuffie was taken into custody on an outstanding East Ridge warrant during a disorder call at this location.
