Officers Make Drug Bust at Shell Station on Spring Creek
On Tuesday night at about 9:30 p.m., East Ridge Officers made contact with two male subjects at one of the gas pumps at the Shell Gas Station located at 940 Spring Creek Road. As officers approached the vehicle a male subject carrying a backpack who was standing outside of the front passenger side began to walk away.
Officers spoke with the male subject who was standing by the driver’s side while another officer retrieved the second male who attempted to walk away. Upon obtaining both subjects information both subjects were found to have warrants out of Hamilton County.
Officers conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle after observing drug paraphernalia in plain view. A search of the vehicle yielded 0.7 grams of methamphetamine along with more drug paraphernalia.
Police then conducted a search of the a backpack belonging to Andrew McCarty after a positive K9 alert. A search of the backpack yielded multiple clear plastic baggies, an electronic scale, multiple needles, a resale amount of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and Xanax bars.
Police Officials said the second subject was one Brandon Chambers. Both parties were transported to jail.

Day Shift August 15
23-010358- 3900 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised a homeless male was lurking around the trash can area of the business. On scene the male had already left the area. He was not located.
23-010361- 4300 BLK Bennett Road- Found Property- Officers responded to East Ridge High School in reference to a narcotics violation. On scene, officers spoke with the Student Safety Officer who advised he located a THC vape pen on a student. The student admitted to the contents of the vape pen. The property was entered in Property & Evidence for destruction.
23-010363- 6600 BLK Ringgold Road- Disorder- Hotel staff reported a male guest who previously checked out had returned and was causing a disorder in the lobby. Once on scene police spoke with an employee, who directed officers to the guest. Officers were advised the man was supposed to check out on 08/13/23; however, he was not at the hotel that day. His things were collected and stored but he returned on this date. The man alleged some clothing was stolen from his luggage. He became verbally abusive with staff, who denied taking any belongings. He was given a criminal trespass warning.
Night Shift August 15
23-010375—4214 Ringgold Rd—Warrant Service – Chattanooga PD arrested a woman earlier this day and transported her to jail. She had an active warrant for Petition to Revoke (Capias Arrest of Probationer—original charge of Possession of Schedule IV). Paperwork was sent to the jail. Nothing further.
23-010378 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – Police detained and transported a man for a felony extraditable warrant from the State of Georgia.
23-010388 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Disorder with Weapon – Police responded to a report of disorder with a weapon. Witnesses reported an intoxicated person pointed a handgun at several people from his vehicle before fleeing the scene. While in route, police discovered the suspect’s vehicle, a white Jeep Wrangler, parked nearby. Police ordered the driver, from the vehicle and arrested him for DUI and Possession of a Handgun while Intoxicated.
