Day Shift August 5
24-009980 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Burglary – Police spoke with the manager who stated she was informed of two unknown males who forcefully entered the business and attempted to steal cell phones. The males made their way to the back room where the phones were stored but were not able to break into the safe and exited the business through the rear door. The suspects had damaged a camera as well as the alarm pad. The incident had been reported to night shift, but a responsible party could not be reached.
24-009992 – 400 BLK S. Howell Avenue – Deceptive Practice – The victim reported being telephonically contacted by a party claiming to be “Sgt Mark Miller” from the Chattanooga Police Department. According to her, the subject told her she had a warrant for missing a court appearance and she could avoid being arrested if she sent $6825 in Bitcoin to them. The victim sent the money to the subjects despite having never been contacted about a court appearance or having any charges against her.
24-009978 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder/Aggravated Assault – A man was arrested after he attempted to intimidate security by producing a box cutter in a threatening manner after being asked to leave the property.
Night Shift August 5
24-0010010 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – Police responded on a report of several females assaulting another female after she was forced out of a vehicle. Officers located the vehicle and upon approach, three females exited the vehicle and attempted to walk away. Police advised the parties to remain on scene pending an assault investigation; however, the individuals refused to comply with commands. The three individuals then used physical resistance, screaming, and profane language in a failed attempt to deter police. Two women were both ultimately issued Misdemeanor Citations for Disorderly Conduct. It was determined that a woman and her sister had engaged in a physical altercation in the parking lot, but a primary aggressor could not be determined.
24-010004- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Assist Other Agency / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested on a warrant out of Hamilton County Criminal Court for Possession of Methamphetamine. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-010008 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Disorder – An anonymous reporting party reported two individuals arguing near his apartment. The reporting party felt the argument was going to turn physical and requested police presence in the area. No apartment or building number was provided. Police checked the apartment complex but did not locate a disorder.
24-010011 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Police responded to a verbal disorder at the restaurant. Officers found that an employee and a customer engaged in a verbal argument over the preparation of a pizza order. The manager on duty refunded the customer’s money and she agreed to leave the area. The store manager was notified of the incident and will investigate potential disciplinary measures for the employee.
24-010012- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested and charged with Driving on a Revoked License (DUI) and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He also had an active warrant through Catoosa County for Assault.
24-010015 – 700 BLK Frawley Road — Delayed Assault – Hospital staff reported an assault victim was in the Emergency Room. Officers spoke with the RP who stated he was assaulted by an unknown male with long braided hair. He stated the assault occurred in an apartment on Frawley Road but would not provide the apartment number or names of the people associated with the incident. Police determined the assault may have been associated with the disorder reported earlier in the day, reference case number 24-010008. No suspects have been identified for the incident.
24-010017 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Overdose – Police were investigating a delayed assault when the medical staff advised of a possible overdose in the lobby. Police and the medical staff found a man unresponsive but breathing on the floor of the men’s restroom. The medical staff performed immediate life saving measures and treated for a suspected fentanyl overdose. He responded to the treatment but would not provide any details for the incident.
24-010018 – 1500 BLK Swope Drive – DUI / Arrest – Police observed a red SUV nearly strike a patrol car while it was stopped at the intersection of McBrien Road and Ringgold Road. A traffic stop was initiated. The driver showed several signs of intoxication, and a spilled beer was within arm’s reach. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI, Open Container Law, and Driving Without a License.
