Day Shift August 20
24-010688 – 6500 BLK Garner Street – Broken Down Vehicle – ERPD assisted a citizen with a vehicle which was disabled in the roadway.
24-010691 – 6700 BLK Ringgold Road – Broken Down Vehicle – Police assisted a citizen with a vehicle which was broken down in the roadway causing a traffic hazard.
24-010714 – 1517 Tombras Avenue – Warrant Service – After his court appearance, a man was arrested on outstanding Hamilton County warrants.
24-010716 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – The victim reported her card was stolen after she left it inside the ATM. She then received a notification that $35 had been transferred from her card to a Cash App account. Camera footage shows a young male using the ATM after her but, because the footage is from behind, it is unclear if the male took the card from the ATM.
21-015099 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A party was served with warrants for Felony Evading, Reckless Driving, Reckless Endangerment, Suspended License, Open Container, Light Law, and Window Tint, while in custody at the jail.
24-010697 – 30 BLK Frawley Road – Deceptive Practice – A caller reported her SNAP Benefits account was depleted of its funds by unknown subjects in New York.
24-010693 – 2000 BLK Tombras Avenue – Well Being Check – Police were called to the 2000 block of Tombras Avenue to locate and check on a young child walking up the sidewalk without an adult. Officers located the boy who said he ran away because he was sad his parents yelled at him. Police gave the child a ride to his house where they were met by his father. Dad said the child was upset he could not bring a PB&J to school.
24-010698 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Found Property – A citizen delivered six bank cards to the East Ridge Police lobby she found while walking near Tacoa Park in Chattanooga. The bank cards will be turned into Property & Evidence for safe keeping.
Night Shift August 20
24-010741 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse Street – Reckless Driving/Joy Riding – While patrolling the area of Waterhouse Street, police observed a vehicle behind a closed business near the dumpster. As officers entered the parking lot, a tall, thin male entered the vehicle and fled at a high rate of speed South on Waterhouse. Police observed the vehicle travel South across State Line Road after running a stop sign and then South on Everglades Boulevard, which is a dead end. The vehicle was abandoned on Everglades Boulevard. With the assistance of Catoosa County SO the owner was located and notified. Warrants will be sought for Reckless Driving and Driving While License Suspended.
24-010743 – 1000 BLK John Ross Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a man was arrested and charged with DUI. A passenger was also arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of legend drugs.
24-010744 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Narcotics Offense – Police located 30 blue pills that are suspected fentanyl inside the holding cell after a search. Officers could not determine who had placed the pills in the back corner of the cell. The pills were placed in the ERPD property room for destruction, and camera footage will be reviewed.
24-010725 – 4100 BLK Monroe Street – Theft – Police spoke with loss prevention about a theft. The official showed police pictures of an employee taking money from the register on multiple different days. The employee admitted that she had taken an undisclosed amount of money. The party is suspected of taking $3,500 in cash out of the register during the stated time frame. Police took the party into custody for theft and transported her to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
