Day Shift August 14
24-010407 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Disorder – Police responded to Parkridge East Hospital after a patient brought in by EMS became combative and disorderly. Police assisted the medical staff with the patient until their medication became effective.
24-010409 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road– Deceptive Practice – The resident called police after an unknown male called her house phone, said her computer’s network was expiring, and asked her to pay $6,800 to renew the network. She was advised not to send any money to the male and to contact police if the calls continue.
24-010413 – 400 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – Police were dispatched after a patient became disorderly with staff. Officers were able to calm the man down.
24-010402 – 3400 BLK Connelly Lane – Collapsed/Unknown – Police responded to multiple residences struck by a large fallen tree. Minimal damage was sustained by the structures.
Night Shift August 14
24-010424 — 6700 Ringgold Road – Assault / Arrest – Following a disorder, the suspect spit on another man and attempted to punch him. Officers found one was the ex-boyfriend of the other’s current girlfriend. The suspect was arrested and charged with Disorderly Conduct and Simple Assault.
24-010421 – 3920 Ringgold Road – Theft – Staff reported two males had entered the store and cashed out several illegitimate gift cards. The scam resulted in the loss of $6,000 for the store. The manager is working to provide police with surveillance footage of the suspects.
24-010425 – 1700 BLK Mack Smith Road – Check Well Being – A male subject contacted a suicide prevention line and expressed suicidal ideations. Officers met the subject and discussed his situation. The male subject was then transported for a mental health evaluation.
24-010429 – 1500 BLK Karwill Lane– Mentally Disturbed – A family member reported a man had posted photos on of his arm with several lacerations. Officers met the male subject at the door of his residence and observed him concealing his right arm behind the wall. The subject was advised of the reason for the Police presence and was instructed to show his arm. The male subject refused verbal commands and attempted to retreat into the residence. Officers placed him into protective custody after seeing several self-inflicted cuts on his arm. The subject was transported to the for medical care and a mental health evaluation.
24-010422- 400 BLK McBrien Rd– Suspicious Person – Police observed a man walking near the store with an open container of beer. Officers detained him and found that he was compliant with all instructions. Police then determined that he was not a danger to himself or others, so he was informed of the legal implications of drinking alcoholic beverages in public. Field interview 24-000148.
24-010428 – 5700 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI Arrest – Police received a BOLO for a reckless vehicle traveling northbound on I-75. Officers responded and observed a vehicle matching the BOLO traveling on Ringgold Road with an erratic driving behavior. The vehicle was stopped, and police found the driver exhibited signs of intoxication. Following a Standardized Field Sobriety Test, he was arrested for DUI and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
