Day Shift August 13
24-010368 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue – Deceptive Practice/Theft – The victim contacted police to report a theft from her Electronic Benefit Transfer Program (EBT) card. She alleged that on Sunday 8/3 she received her food stamp benefits in the amount of $291.27. She spent $42.59 leaving a balance of $248.68. On 8/4 she claimed there was a balance of $0. She also stated that she has not given her card or pin number to anyone. She needed a report to be reimbursed by the Tennessee EBT Program. ERPD has received several similar complaints over the past few weeks and recommends that users change their PIN and take steps to secure their information.
24-010369 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway– Disorder – A subject caused a disorder at this address and left. Police located the man and informed him he is trespassed from the business.
Night Shift August 13
24-010389 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Intoxicated Person – Police responded to an intoxicated party in the 5300 block of Ringgold Road near the Walgreens. A man abandoned his vehicle in the middle of the roadway and created a public disturbance by walking thru busy traffic while shouting and flailing his arms about. He was arrested for Public Intoxication, Underage Consumption, Reckless Endangerment, and Simple Assault on a Police Officer.
24-010386 – 1517 Tombras Avenue – Warrant Service – A woman was taken into custody for Petition to Revoke at the East Ridge City Court for a violation of probation from a DUI arrest (3rd Offense). She was transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
24-010397- 4338 Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop/Warrant Service – Police conducted a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet Suburban for tag lights not operating properly. During the stop, the driver was identified and had a Session’s Warrant for Harassment.
24-010395 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Officers were informed of a theft by an employee of the business. A male subject stole a case of beer along with miscellaneous other items. The employee obtained a partial tag and advised the suspect vehicle was silver BMW sedan. The employee wished to prosecute for the theft pending identification of the suspect(s).
