March 31 – Day Shift
23-003807- 3800 BLK Fountain Avenue- Vehicle Burglary- On arrival police met with the reporting party concerning his Kia Forte being burglarized some time over the night by an unknown suspect. The victim reports he believes he had the vehicle locked and secured, but police observed no signs of forced entry. Inside the vehicle police located a green pen and a black latex glove the suspect had left behind according to the victim. The area around the ignition of the vehicle had been heavily vandalized in what appeared to be an attempt to hot-wire or rig the ignition to start. The glove and the pen will be entered into East Ridge Property and Evidence for evidence purposes.
23-003809- 1600 BLK South Smith Street- Overdose- The caller advised a female was overdosing at this location. On scene EMTs administered Narcan to her. She was transported to the hospital.
March 31 – Night Shift
23-003842 – 1000 S Seminole Dr– SIA – Following a consensual encounter at this location a man was taken into custody after being found to have an outstanding warrant out of Hamilton County.
23-003844 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Property Damage – Police made contact with the victim who advised he was inside the business when an unknown suspect slashed three of his vehicle tires. Police are working on getting video footage to identify the suspect.
23-003845 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Arrest-DUI – Police arrested a man for DUI after he was found passed out behind the wheel in the drive-thru.
April 01 – Day Shift
23-003855- 1000 BLK Greens Lake Road- Shots Fired- The caller advised he heard approximately 7 to 8 gunshots in the area of the old Kingwood drugstore. On scene no evidence of a shooting was located. The caller also advised he heard shots around Donaldson Road. Police checked the area with nothing located.
April 01 – Night Shift
23-003879 – 2000 BLK McBrien Road – Arrest-Traffic – Police conducted a traffic stop on a gray Lexus for an expired tag. The male driver fled from the vehicle, leading police on a foot pursuit. The male was located hiding underneath a porch on Greenbriar Road. He was identified and arrested for driving on suspended, evading, and expired registration. When he ran from the vehicle the female passenger moved to the driver’s seat and fled the scene. She was observed driving in the 5600 block of Ringgold Road and a traffic stop was conducted. She was taken into custody for evading and driving without a license.
23-003883 – Interstate 75 NB – Broken Down Auto – Police responded to assist a motorist who was observed to have a flat tire on the interstate. Officers assisted until the parties were able to contact Triple A roadside assistance.
23-003886 – 5080 S. Terrace – Shots Fired – An officer was parked stationery in the parking lot of the AMC movie theater. The officer heard one gunshot coming from an unknown location and rolled the patrol car windows down. At that time the officer heard two more gun shots and heard the bullets passing above the patrol vehicle. Officers checked the area and did not locate any shell casings. Additionally, AMC Management allowed officers to view security footage, and it couldn’t be determined where the gunshots originated.
23-003889 – 3700 Bennett Road – Property Damage – The complainant came to the police department to report that, as he was driving in the 3700 block of Bennett Road, something hit his back passenger window and shattered it. It is unknown what caused the damage.
23-003892 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – Officers responded to the Speedway Gas Station after an unruly female customer became irate with staff and would not leave the store. Staff advised the female subject was yelling profanities and threw a wet floor sign in the direction of the aisles. The female subject left the gas station prior to police arrival.
23-003897 – 1000 BLK Yale Street – Drug arrest – Following a traffic stop police arrested a man for possession of cocaine. He was also wanted in GA for possession of cocaine.
April 02– Day Shift
23-003900- 1400 BLK Mack Smith Road- Suspicious Person- The caller advised an unwanted person was in the lobby feeding the birds. On scene the male had already left the property. The caller identified the man.
23-003901- 1400 BLK Sewanee Drive- Open Door- The caller advised his neighbor’s back door had been standing open for several days. On scene police spoke with the homeowner. He was aware the door was open.
23-003905- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road- Suspicious Vehicle- The caller advised a male in a black minivan was parked on the lot acting strange. On scene police spoke with him. Police observed an array of items that he had spread out in the parking lot near his vehicle. He advised he was waiting on a subject to buy sell or trade his items. Police had him clean up his items and vacate the property. Staff did not wish to have him criminally trespassed from the property.
23-003918- 1600 BLK Castleberry Avenue- Mental Health Consumer/Trespass Warning- The caller advised a male was refusing to leave the property. On scene police encountered the same man from Mack Smith and the black mini van. He was advised to leave the property and issued a criminal trespass warning. He was last observed walking south into Georgia.
April 02 – Night Shift
23-003926 – I-75SB – Assist other Agency-Crash-DUI – East Ridge officers were requested to assist Chattanooga police with a crash that occurred in Chattanooga. One of the vehicles did not stop immediately after the crash but continued into East Ridge. The driver of that vehicle was arrested for driving under the influence by Chattanooga Police.
23-003925 – 5300 BLK Greenbriar Road – Burglary – Police responded to this residence after the caller discovered a burglary had occurred. Approximately $500 in change was said to be missing from her residence.
23-003929 – 3800 BLK Northview Avenue – Disorder – Police were dispatched to this location regarding a juvenile destroying the home. Police arrived and spoke to the mother. She advised her son has been upset due to custody issues. Police spoke to the juvenile and had him calm down.
23-003933 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Disorder – Police were called regarding two males arguing in the parking lot. Upon arrival police made contact with three males, one of which was extremely intoxicated. Staff alleged that the intoxicated male assaulted his girlfriend in the parking lot but she stated that no physical assault occurred. Police observed no signs of an assault. The parties were asked to leave the property for the night but staff did not wish to have them trespassed.
23-003934 – 300 BLK E. View Drive – Disorder – Arrest – Police responded to this location regarding a male and female arguing. Police spoke with both subjects. The female had an active order of protection against the male subject. The female subject was taken into custody for violation of an order of protection. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
April 3- Day Shift
23-003946 – 300 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Suspicious Vehicle/Motor Vehicle Crash – Police responded to Camp Jordan Park for a suspicious white Jeep with Florida plates in one of the parking lots. The vehicle was unoccupied and appeared to have left the roadway and drove through some grass before becoming disabled and abandoned. A crash report was made, and the vehicle was towed at park employee’s request.
23-003959 – 1400 BLK Mack Smith Rd – Auto Theft – The victim reported her 1997 beige Cadillac Deville was stolen by her son sometime since 2030 hrs on 04/02/2023. At receiving information police located the vehicle at a storage facility in Georgia. The vehicle was recovered and removed from NCIC. A warrant was sought for the suspect for theft over $1,000. At approximately 1750 hrs, he arrived at the police department and turned himself. He was then taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
23-003962- 800 BLK S. Germantown Road- Unconscious Person- Officers were called to this location for an unconscious female laying on the sidewalk. Officers and Fire Department arrived and administered one Narcan to the party. After several minutes she regained consciousness. She was transported by EMS.
April 3- Night Shift
23-003969 – 3400 Gail Drive – Domestic Disorder – Police responded to a 911 call regarding an assault. Police determined an aggravated burglary and aggravated assault had taken place and the suspect had fled prior to police arrival. Warrants are being sought. CID was notified.
23-003982-4155 Ringgold Road-Traffic/DUI Arrest – Police were flagged down by a passerby about a vehicle at a stop light with a male passed out at the wheel. Police initiated a traffic stop and after standardized field sobriety test. The driver was arrested for DUI and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
23-003973 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Flag Down/Warrant service – Police were in the parking lot and were flagged down for people in their dumpster refusing to leave. Upon contact with the individuals one party was confirmed to have an outstanding Hamilton County warrant for auto theft.
23-003975 – 1600 BLK Keeble St – Disturbance – Police responded to a disorder between two parties. No primary aggressor could be determined and no court orders were still in effect. The parties were separated for the evening.
23-003983 – 300 Camp Jordan Pkwy – Drug Possession – While conducting a business check police noticed a vehicle with the driver passed out behind the wheel at the pavilion in Camp Jordan. The driver had drug paraphernalia in her lap. A search of the vehicle revealed Schedule II drugs. She was given a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest.
23-003974 – 5400 BLK Connell St – Prowler- The resident called police and advised that a female had jumped the fence and was in his backyard. Police arrived on scene and the female was identified. She admitted to jumping the fence. The woman was trespassed and advised she understood that she could not return to the property.
