The following information was produced from East Ridge Police Department “pass along” reports.
April 29 – Day Shift
301 Windmere Drive:
A call was received about an improperly parked vehicle. The caller advised that a dark colored Chevrolet HHR was parked in her yard. Police responded and found the vehicle abandoned on the property. It appeared to have left the roadway unintentionally. The vehicle was towed at the property owner’s request. The vehicle was registered to an address in Soddy Daisy.
1503 McDonald Road:
Police encountered Amanda Dowell at room 111 of the Waverly Motel. Ms. Dowell was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail due to having warrants out of Whitfield County, Georgia.
5519 Ringgold Road:
A call was received about a man being struck by a vehicle in the parking lot. The individual struck by the vehicle was transported to the hospital.
6708 Ringgold Road:
David Faulkner was encountered at the Circle K and subsequently detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail due to having warrants through Walker County, Georgia.
5080 South Terrace:
Police responded to the AMC Theater and spoke with a woman who advised that her juvenile daughter was punched by a second juvenile in the parking lot. This incident occurred around November 20th .
3638 Phelps Street:
Police responded with the East Ridge Fire Department to this address regarding a car fire.
4154 Ringgold Road:
The branch manager of the Smart Bank advised police that a man entered the bank and asked a teller if he had an account. He was described as having slurred speech and was looking around. He presented the teller with a Tennessee identification card, but the teller was unable to find an account for the man. He left the bank quickly and ran across the parking lot to the Bojangles restaurant. The man was dressed in camo-style pants and had very long dreads. He was carrying a yellow bag. Bank staff were concerned the subject may be “casing the bank.”*
April 29 – Night Shift
5700 Roper Street:
Police responded to apartment B-8 and conducted a search warrant at this address. Travon Solomon was arrested for felony possession of schedule VI and possession of drug paraphernalia. Also taken during the execution of the warrant was money and a firearm.
941 Spring Creek Road:
Police were dispatched to this location due to a dog in a vehicle. The temperature outside was 66 degrees. The window was down slightly, and the dog was not in distress.
5080 South Terrace:
Two women were inside the AMC Theater from 9:00 pm to 11:00 pm watching a movie. Upon returning to their vehicle, it was determined the vehicle was entered and one of the women’s purse and contents were stolen.
6005 Welworth Avenue:
Police observed Marcus Rivers sitting in the driver seat of a vehicle in front of his residence. Mr. Rivers had active warrants in East Ridge for evading and reckless driving. Police removed Mr. Rivers from the vehicle when he attempted to start the vehicle in an apparent attempt to again evade police. Police discovered the name of Marcus Johnson Rivers given to police during the last encounter was, in fact, his ex-boyfriend’s information. Police contacted the East Ridge Court Clerk’s Office and updated the warrants with the correct information and took Mr. Rivers into custody for evading, reckless driving, criminal impersonation, driving on a revoked license, and possession of methamphetamine.
