Day Shift April 2
24-004095 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Disorder/Arrest – An officer observed a disorder occurring in the police department parking lot. A man advised his mother had a warrant and he was attempting to turn her in. A vehicle search found three grams of methamphetamine along with a straw in her purse.
24-004109 – 700 BLK Frawley Road – Disorder – Police were waved down by a driver of a pickup truck. The driver stated the van behind him kept following him and had almost run him off the road. Officers stopped both vehicles and learned the disorder was over a busted window. The driver of the van believed the broken window was the fault of the pickup driver who was mowing yards in his neighborhood.
24-004098 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Disorder – Officers were informed of a customer who was trying to get food for free and had been doing this constantly. Police stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver and informed her she was being issued a trespass warning by the business. She stated she understood the consequences of the trespass and left without incident.
24-004104 – 700 BLK S. Moore Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – A man was arrested for Driving While Revoked for DUI following a traffic stop at this location.
24-004110 – S. Terrace @ Bacon Trail – Citizen Assist – Police were summoned by a male on the side of the road. He advised that he was recently released from the hospital and requested a ride to Palmer, TN. When advised police would be unable to facilitate his request, he requested to be transported back to the hospital to wait for his ride.
24-004099 – 4300 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder – The bank manager stated a customer came into the bank and was creating a commotion. The customer said the phones were listening and tellers were giving out his personal information to other customers. The customer then stated he wanted to close his account.
24-004102 – 1400 BLK Boyd Road – Property Damage – The owners observed a bullet hole in the garage door of the business. The hole appeared to be from a medium caliber firearm and was approximately two meters up the metal garage door. The garage door faces Ringgold Road as well as the adjoining parking lot. The owners stated they were unaware of when this occurred, but believed it was in the past two days. The projectile was located inside the garage. An aligning exit hole was found in the exterior of the nearby bar. Viewed from the inside, the northeast exterior wall of the bar did have an exit hole.
24-004113 – 1500 BLK Maxwell Road, Post Office – Assault – A postal worker stated on 03/22 at approximately 1500 hours a woman came into the Post Office complaining a mail carrier had not picked up a package from her residence and demanded to see a supervisor. The postal worker told the woman there was no supervisor available. The postal worker stated the woman became irate and began an angry tirade. She finally threw the package over a plastic partition. The package struck the worker but she does not want to participate in the prosecution for assault.
Night Shift April 2
24-004134 – 1200 BLK South Seminole Drive – Shots Fired – A resident reported hearing 10 muffled gunshots in the area between South Seminole Drive and Frederick Drive. Police responded to the area but did not locate any damage or casings. In the same timeframe, Chattanooga PD responded to several complaints of shots fired around South Crest with a white SUV leaving the area, reference CPD 24-029334. Police determined the East Ridge reporting party most likely heard the echo of the shots fired on the ridge in Chattanooga.
24-004145 – 3300 BLK Ringgold Road – Back Fire – Police were called to assist ER Fire and Rescue with a small fire behind the convenience store. Police and Fire located a small homeless camp behind the store and found the fire had been extinguished. In the camp, police located a man and woman who claimed the fire was set so the female could see in the dark. The individuals were checked for warrants and sent on their way. East Ridge City Codes Enforcement will be notified of the situation.
