April 19, 2023-Day Shift
23-004710- 950 Spring Creek Road- Attempted Auto Theft- The complainant advised his KIA Rio had been broken into overnight. The complainant stated the last time he saw his vehicle was yesterday, April 18, 2023 at approximately 1900 hours. His wife noticed his vehicle’s ignition appeared to be on with the steering column broken and center console opened. PLEASE NOTE: KIA and Hyundai vehicle are susceptible to the use of tools to override the ignition system and steal the car. If you own any model of KIA or Hyundai please explore additional security, such as garage parking or steering wheel locks!
23-004711- 950 Spring Creek Road- Auto Theft- While investigating an attempted auto theft, officers were approached by another party who reported that her 2013 Hyundai Elantra was stolen sometime during the overnight hours, outside her apartment.
23-004716- 3725 Fountain Avenue- Theft- The complainant moved from the complex after his apartment burned and was considered a total loss by his insurer. A few days ago, he received a message on Facebook messenger asking if he could help the other party unlock the play station so he could use it after purchasing it from a pawn shop in Dalton. The complainant called the pawn shop but was told that information is not made available without a police report. No suspects.
23-004727- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Theft- Police arrived on scene and contacted the business owner. She advised police that she had located multiple dates where the cash register had been short at the close of business. On April 18, the register was short $252.25. The only cashier to operate this register was identified and the employee credentials were used to delete multiple transactions in the system the previous evening. She suspects multiple other instances of theft and has requested to hold prosecution until a total amount is discovered.
Night Shift
23-004742 –4200 BLK Ringgold Road– Theft – Police responded to this location regarding a theft that occurred on 04-19-2023 at 0700 hours. Police spoke to the complainant who advised that he came to the gas station restroom and accidentally left his wallet in the restroom. He later realized he had left it and came back to the store to retrieved his wallet. Police are working on looking at camera footage. Police do not have any suspects currently.
23-004757 – S Germantown & Germantown Cir – Traffic Stop/Arrest – Following a traffic stop at this location a woman was taken into custody after being found to be in possession of a resale amount of methamphetamine and a large amount of drug paraphernalia. She was subsequently charged with criminal impersonation after providing police with a false name.
