The following information was provided from reports provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
April 12 – Night Shift
Multiple trees down on the roads and in houses, no reported injuries. During the storm and tornado reported touched down in Camp Jordan area.
April 09 – Day Shift
Keeble Street @ State Line Road- Failure to Stop-
Police observed a black Ford traveling south in the 1500 block of Truman Avenue at a high rate of speed and failed to stop for multiple stop signs. The vehicle also failed to stop at the intersections of St James Avenue and Prater Road, Prater Road d and Stateline Road. Police attempted a traffic stop but the Ford accelerated away westbound on Stateline Road failing to stop at the intersection of State Line Road and Keeble Street. Each intersection was clearly marked and controlled by a “Stop” sign. Officers did not pursue the fleeing vehicle.
Later in the shift police located the vehicle parked at 5700 Roper Street apartment building D. The vehicle was towed pending investigation and identification of the driver. The registered owner of the vehicle was found to have a suspended Georgia driver’s license. The vehicle also had an expired registration.
Key West Avenue @ Springvale Road- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of hearing approximately nine shots fired from a handgun. Upon arrival in the area officers didn’t locate anything out of the ordinary.
Dellway Circle @ Woodmont Drive- Suspicious Person/Vehicle-
The caller advised a large black truck occupied by a white male had been sitting on the roadside for approximately 45 minutes. Upon arrival the truck had left the area.
Warrant Service-
Sharla Ball (AKA Bradley) was taken into custody at 1100 Altamaha Street on East Ridge warrant/docket 136772. The warrant was an Alias/Capias for Driving While Suspended. Ball was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
6007 Ringgold Road (GT Buy Sell Trade)- Mental Health Consumer/Public Intox-
Upon arrival officers encountered a female subject. She appeared very aggressive and agitated by police presence. After a short struggle and a taser deployment she was detained and transported to Parkridge East for a mental and medical evaluation. Warrants are pending.

April 09 – Night Shift
1309 Larado Ave / Burglary In Progress:
Police responded to this location after a neighbor observed a male party outside of a house he believed to be abandoned banging on the back door holding a flashlight. Upon arrival of police a male party was observed on the back porch holding a flashlight. Police contacted the male and with investigation it was determined he was checking on the property which belonged to his father and was allowed to be there. Police did however discover the male party was attempting to smoke what he believed to be marijuana which was ultimately determined to be tobacco packaged in a way to trick the male who was new to narcotics.
5700 Roper St. / Suspicious Activity:
Police were called in reference to a female going through the dumpsters at this location. Upon police arrival the female attempted to flee the area on foot but was unable to the due to quick and effective tactics by officers on scene. The female was identified as Lacey Ridley and was found to be in possession of methamphetamine, a firearm, copious amounts of drug paraphernalia, and cash in denominations consistent with narcotic sales. Police placed the evidence into property and due to the rising concerns of COVID-19 police are seeking warrants for Ridley.
728 Frawley Rd / Suspicious Activity:
Police were called in reference to a vehicle which continued to circle the parking lot. Upon arrival police located a black Nissan leaving the area. Police conducted a traffic stop on the unregistered, uninsured vehicle and ultimately issued citations, towed the vehicle, and the driver obtained a cab ride.
1544 Burns Avenue / Burglary:
Complainant reported to police that the house at this address belonging to Duncan Park Baptist Church and was broken into. Police observed a muddy shoe print from where the unknown suspect attempted to kick in the side door to the garage. A 2” x 6” plank barring the door prevented it from being kicked in. The suspect then enter the house through a broken window in the back of the house. The suspect rummaged through furniture drawers but thought to have left empty-handed through the garage door he/she attempted to kick in. The complainant surveyed the house but did not indicate anything to be missing. Pictures of the scene were turned over to CID.
7638 Lee Hwy/ Stolen property recovery:
Chattanooga Police located a Tennessee dealer plate at the Americas Best Value Inn that had been reported stolen out of East Ridge. The victim was notified and agreed to pick up the recovered plate from Chattanooga Police Department. The plate was removed from NCIC and no arrest was made.
1417 Dover Ln/ Stolen vehicle recovery:
Police made contact with a vehicle that was previously BOLO’D earlier in the shift as a stolen vehicle at this location. Noah O’Harra was subsequently arrested for Theft over 10,000 and driving without a license. Mr. O’Harra also was served with an East Ridge warrant for theft under $1,000 and had a full extradition warrant for vehicle thefts In Louisiana.

4703 Bennett Road (auto burglary):
The resident stated her vehicle was entered overnight, and her wallet was stolen. He vehicle had been left unlocked.

6514 Ringgold Road (Aggravated Assault):
A woman crashed her vehicle in the parking lot of Wally’s while being assaulted by Cameron McDuffy inside the vehicle. McDuffy chased the woman across the street to the Mapco. The woman hid behind the checkout counter of the Mapco, and McDuffy fled the scene. The woman advised McDuffy was hitting her in the head with the handle of a screw driver.
4232 Ringgold Rd (Domestic Assault):
Samantha McClellan was arrested for domestic assault against her boyfriend at this location.
3728 Ringgold Rd. (DUI):
Javier Bonia was arrested for DUI and open container.
3426 Myra Ave. (unknown trouble):
Resident called police asking for the area to be checked. RP believes she may have heard someone yelling out in pain. The area was checked, and nothing located.
3598 Bennett Rd. (barking dog):
Police were called to this location regarding a dog barking. Police spoke with the resident and she agreed to put the dog inside for the night.
3636 Weldon Dr. (susp. activity):
Police dispatched to this location regarding a bonfire in the front yard and the resident shooting off fireworks. Upon arrival, police saw a small unattended fire in the front where children were using the flames to shoot off the fireworks. Police spoke with the mother and she was instructed to put the fire out and to not let her children shoot off fireworks.
300 Block E. View Dr. (AOA):
Police were dispatched to this home regarding a medical emergency. Police were informed the patient needed CPR and the person there refused to start it. Police arrived on scene with EMS. Police assisted in performing CPR. Police were notified the patient did meet the screening criteria for Covid-19, but the patient had never been tested for it. EMS transported patient to the Hospital. Supervisor was notified of the positive screening conducted by dispatch.
3615 Ida Belle Lane (susp):
Wednesday Griffith was speeding up and down her street. Police did not observe her driving but seized her DL for having a suspended DL.

April 11 – Day Shift
4150 Ringgold Road (shoplifting):
Loss prevention for Wal-Mart, reported that yesterday an unknown white female and an unknown black female left the store with a cart full of items they did not pay for.
5700 Roper Street Apt. J4 (auto burglary):
The resident stated her unlocked vehicle was entered overnight, but she doesn’t believe anything is missing.
5418 Ringgold Road (theft):
The owner of Apollo Car Wash reported the theft of a security camera at his business which occurred last night around 2230 hours. The suspects, two white males and a white female, were recorded driving an early two-toned 1990s vehicle with a handicap placard and license plate.

April 11 – Night Shift
6400 Ringgold Road (Domestic Assault):
Brandon Hill was arrested for Domestic Assault after punching his girlfriend in the face while sitting at a traffic light in the 6400 block of Ringgold Road. CPD initiated the traffic stop on their vehicle on I-24 WB after the victim reported the assault by texting 911. CPD had their own charges on Hill for narcotics violations and false imprisonment. Hill was transported by ERPD to the jail for the Domestic Assault charge.
1052 South Seminole Apt A (domestic):
Renee Tremble was arrested for domestic assault after she threw a lamp at her brother.
1313 Darlene Cir. (follow up):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a gray Toyota Tacoma. The vehicle was believed to had hit the neighbor’s mailbox about two weeks prior. Police spoke with resident who didn’t realize he hit the mailbox but admitted to rolling back and hitting the bushes. He agreed to pay for any damage to the mailbox.
706 Donaldson Rd. (noise comp):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding people outside being loud and playing music. Upon police arrival, contact was made with the residents who agreed to turn down the music.

April 12 – Day Shift
501 S. Moore Road (vandalism):
The complainant reported the overnight vandalism of five panels of aluminum fencing located on the horseshoe of OLPH. No tire tracks were located in the grass around the damaged fence. Complainant believes someone pulled the fence apart with a chain.
6011 Welworth Avenue (auto burglary):
The resident reported that an unknown person made entry into his unlocked vehicle sometime over the previous two days. The resident is missing two CDs and a broken phone charger.
I-75 South (narcotics arrest):
Robert Hess was arrested for possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at this location.
