East Ridge police arrested a woman on outstanding warrants from two jurisdictions, Sunday, and in the process charged her with additional drug charges.
According to a police report, investigators received information that Tiffany Thrailkill was in room 362 at the Rodeway Inn on Ringgold Road. The desk clerk at the motel confirmed that Thrailkill had rented the room. Thrailkill was wanted by police on felony charges in both Hamilton and Catoosa County’s, the report states.
When police knocked on the door her boyfriend answered and Thrailkill could be seen standing behind the man. Police asked the woman to step outside and she was taken into custody without incident.
According to the report, police performed an inventory of the woman’s purse prior to being taken to the Hamilton County Jail. Inside the purse officers found a folded dollar bill in the side pocket of the wallet. “Based on my training and experience, narcotic users who utilize the ‘snorting’ method are known to conceal thier narcotics in folded up bills in order to create a ‘line’ for snorting,'” the report states.
The folded bill contained a small amount of suspected methamphetamine, the report states. A second bill was also located. It too contained a small amount of suspected methamphetamine.
Thrailkill, 30, of a Dodson Avenue address, was additionally charged with Simple Possession of Methamphetamine.
_ Fountain at Sweetbriar Ave.: Police were dispatched to the location on Saturday afternoon in regard to an intoxicated person. According to a police report, when officers arrived they encountered a woman later identified as Allison Richey, passed out in the front seat of a minivan. When the officer approached the vehicle he noticed a small, clear bag containing a white substance between Richey’s legs.
The report states that the officer woke the woman up and ordered her outside the vehicle. Richey was detained and placed inside the police cruiser. The report states the officer returned to the mini-van and discovered an open silver syringe, cotton swabs and wipe, a small bottle of a clear substance and a small bottle containing a used cotton swab. A search of the vehicle produced several hundred small clear baggies similar to ones used with the crystal substance and marijuana.
Richey, 28, of a Rossville address, was charged with Possession of Schedule II Drugs with Intent to Resale, Possession of Schedule VI Drugs with Intent to Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
_ Camp Jordan Parkway: Police were dispatched to the Bass Pro Shops on Monday evening in regard to a theft from vehicle. According to a police report, police spoke with an employee who said he returned to his car for lunch and discovered that his .45 Springfield XDM was missing from the center console of his Chevy Avalanche. The victim did not notice that the thief had damaged the door handle of the vehicle in order to gain entrance. No other items were missing from the vehicle.
The report states that police attempted to obtain video surveillance footage from Bass Pro Shops. However, vegetation in the area obscured the area from video surveillance. The firearm was entered into a crime data base as having been stolen.
