_ 900 Altamaha St.: Police were called to the address on Thursday evening on suspicious activity. According to an affidavit of complaint, the complainant told dispatch they heard a loud boom and a vehicle speeding off from the location. It was determined that a fire hydrant had been struck and was spewing water. When police arrived an officer saw a black Volkswagen Tiguan traveling south in the 1100 block of Altamaha with heavy front end damage and two badly damaged tires. A traffic stop was done and the driver was identified as Douglas Tye Daugherty, 59, of a Haisten Court address. The report states that the officer detected a strong odor of alcohol coming from Daugherty’s breath. Daugherty admitted to consuming two beers, however, due to multiple health issues, standardized field sobriety testing could not be performed. Parts of Daugherty’s vehicle were located at the scene of the crash and collected by police. Daugherty was placed into custody and charged with DUI. Law enforcement officials said that this incident marked the fourth DUI Daugherty had received.
_ 900 block South Seminole: On Sunday evening a police officer saw a silver Chevy at this location with extremely dark tinted windows. The officer stopped the car and made contact with the driver, Ke’Twain Lollus. According to an affidavit of complaint, while the officer was speaking with Lollus, he detected a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. The officer inquired about the odor and Lollus said he was in possession of pot. The report states that Lollus reached into the center console and produced a glass jar containing 40 grams of marijuana. A subsequent search of the car turned up plastic sandwich bags commonly used for marijuana sales and a set of digital scales. Lollus, 20, of a Germantown Road address, was charged with Possession of Marijuana for Resale and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
_ 3403 Maple Creek Ln.: On Saturday evening officers were dispatched to the address on an assault call. According to an affidavit of complaint, when officers arrived they encountered two men and two women in the yard of the residence. Officers spoke with one man who said he was inside his house when he heard screaming. He came outside and saw Charles Flint Jr. yelling at a woman and then threw a punch at her. The report states that the man ran over to separate the two. The man told police that Flint then grabbed a rock and threw it through the window of his home. The man told police that Flint then grabbed the woman by the shirt and choked her with the shirt. The report states that the man told police he again grabbed Flint and the woman got away, but not before slugging Flint in his left eye.
Flint, 49, of a Maple Creek Lane address, was arrested for Aggravated Assault/Domestic, Public Intoxication and Vandalism. The report states that EMS took Flint to the emergency room due to his inability to communicate. While at the emergency room, the report states, Flint was cussing and yelling at hospital staff and causing a disturbance. Police tacked on an additional charge of Disorderly Conduct.
