_ 6927 Glen Errol Way: Police were called to the address, Sunday, on a domestic assault call. According to a police report, when officers arrived they found a woman who had locked herself inside her car outside the duplex. She told officers that her boyfriend, Brandon Pointer, had been arguing about text messages on her phone. When the woman walked away from Pointer, he allegedly threw the phone at her hitting her in the head and almost knocking her glasses off. The woman complained of a headache but refused treatment by EMS. The report states that the woman gave a statement to police that she was in fear and that Pointer was going to continue to hurt her. Pointer, 24, of a Fisher Avenue address in Chattanooga, was charged with Domestic Assault. He is due to appear in East Ridge Municipal Court on April 26.
_ Police were called to Parkridge East hospital last week regarding an assault. According to a police report, the victim told officers that she was assaulted by her husband at their South Smith Street address on Feb. 28. The victim said that her husband, William Cameron Kelley, 24, started throwing objects at her and before she was able to defend herself she was hit in the left eye and blacked out for a short time. The report states that the victim told officers that after the assault, “(Kelley) started freaking out thinking he had severely hurt her.” The report states that the woman had contacted her mother and texted her pictures of her eye shortly after the alleged assault. The report states that officers saw that the victim’s eye was extremely swollen and bruised, consistent with someone having struck her. Kelley was picked up last week on an arrest warrant and charged with Domestic Assault.
