Pioneers Remain Undefeated

East Ridge built a big half-time lead and rolled over Central, 35-7, Saturday on the Pounders’ turf. The Pioneers are now 4-0 overall and 1-0 in Region 3-AAA play.

Traneil Moore scored twice for East Ridge, while Dominique Millener and Lorenzo Steward each had touchdowns.

Versatile Jesse Jones scored on a 70-yard interception return. C.J. Bond was automatic on conversions kicking five PATs.

The game was delayed a day because of inclement weather on Friday.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
