Lane on I-75 near I-24 to Close over the Weekend
The right lane on Interstate 75 south near the I-24 interchange will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, according to information from TDOT. The stretch of roadway affected will stretch from Highway 153 to the CSX railroad bridge. Traffic from 153 south ramp merging onto I-75 will have to yield. HCSO Investigating Discovery of Body Found in Woods Near Ooltewah-Georgetown Road
On Monday, two men riding horses in a wooded area near the 11500 block of Ooltewah-Georgetown Road, found the body of a deceased female. The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office was notified and responded to the scene. On Tuesday at 4:39 a.m., Chattanooga Police responded to a person shot call in the 6000 block of East Brainerd Road. When the officers arrived at the scene, they found a 25-year-old man with non-life-threatening injuries. Chattanooga Fire and Hamilton County EMS responded. EMS transported him to a local hospital.
