The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
October 01 – Day Shift
1410 Mack Smith Road Room 1103 (deceptive practice):
The complainant reported her bank account was frozen by her bank after it flagged a suspicious deposit. The complainant stated a check in the amount of $1980.00 was deposited into her account, which she believes was from an online “lender.” The RP required a report for her bank. While speaking with the complainant, she also reported that someone with housekeeping possibly entered her room on 09/28/2020 and stole approximately $300 from her dresser. The complainant stated she spoke with security about this, and they were supposed to contact management. The RP advised she has not heard back from management.
6200 Ringgold Road (citizen assist):
Police were called to this restaurant for a possibly intoxicated male party that appeared to be stumbling around with a bruise on his face. Police contacted the male subject, who had some fresh injuries after falling asleep at an unknown location. The man was also possibly having visual hallucinations and memory issues. He was transported to Parkridge East at his request for possible head trauma.
5301 Ringgold Road (arrest):
Vander Yother Jr. was arrested for simple possession and theft after stealing over $300 worth of batteries from Walgreen’s.
5309 Ringgold Road (suspicious person):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a male lying beside the business. Police made contact with the male who was transported to Joe Johnson’s at his request.
6100 Welworth Avenue (criminal trespass):
Dmitry Kanashin was trespassed from this location by the resident. Kanashin had moved out two weeks ago with another woman and had decided to return to this location.

October 01 –Night Shift
182.60 I-24W (Citizen Assist 20-013116):
Reporting party requested police assistance. She stated she had memory issues caused by a brain tumor and had run out of fuel. Officers responded and offered assistance.
6500 Ringgold Rd (Theft 20-013120):
Officers responded to the theft of wallet delayed from September 30, 2020. A suspect, Michael Daugherty, was located at the Budgetel Inn at approximately 20:00 hours on October 1, 2020. Daugherty admitted to taking the wallet and produced the wallet for police after retrieving it from a dumpster on the property of Budgetel Inn. Daugherty was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft.
1417 St Thomas St (Arrest 20-013121):
Justin Hawk was taken into custody at this location after being observed exiting the driver’s seat of a blue Chevrolet confirmed stolen out of Jackson County AL. Hawk was charged with Possession of a Stolen Vehicle and Criminal Impersonation. He also had numerous warrants through Hamilton County Criminal Court.
3635 Ringgold Rd (Theft in Progress 20-013124):
Police were summoned to a theft in progress. Suspects were last seen west bound on Ringgold Rd in a silver SUV. Store employees at Family Dollar say a black male and female filled a laundry basket with various items and fled through the stock room and back door of the business.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 20-013123):
Ayonnika Watkins was served East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County jail.
893 Donaldson Rd (Disorder 20-013129):
Reporting party stated she had been in a disorder with Tyler Bray earlier on this date. The reporting party stated Bray entered her residence without her knowledge and assaulted her. Officers observed cuts on the victim’s hand consistent with her statements. Warrants to be sought for Domestic Assault and Aggravated Burglary.
1410 Mack Smith (Disorder With a Weapon 20-13131):
Calixto Perez Rivas was taken into custody following a disorder with a knife. He was charged with Aggravated Assault, Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest.
6006 Ringgold Rd (Vandalism 20-013132):
While patrolling the area officers heard a loud glass break. Police immediately located the origin of the noise. The front store glass of 6006 Ringgold Rd appeared to have been shot with a BB or Pellet gun. A responsible could not be reached. Report on file.
6708 Ringgold Rd (Auto Theft 20-013130):
RP stated their silver Honda Accord was taken from the Circle K. Dispatch advised officers the RP would meet in the lobby of Best Western Police were not able to locate the alleged victim.
3616 Wimberly Dr (Disorder 20-0131136):
Caller stated there was an active disorder at this location and someone was going to “get hurt.” Police arrived and the caller became uncooperative with officers and refused to discuss the disorder.
4214 Ringgold Rd (DUI Arrest 20-01340):
Kenneth Sandusky was arrested for DUI during a traffic stop in front of the East Ridge Police Department.
600 Camp Jordan Pkwy (AOA Warrant 20-01339):
Jazmine Hughes was taken into custody on numerous warrants out of Whitfield County Ga. Contact was made with Hughes when police observed her and a man sleeping in a vehicle.
1417 St Thomas St (Suspicious Activity 20-01341):
Officers contacted a male subject sleeping in a vehicle on the back lot of Motel 6. Officers spoke with the subject, and his girlfriend who appeared from the motel. During the course of conversation it was learned the couple was at the motel to spend time with Mark Headrick. Headrick is well known to police. Officers confirmed several full extradition warrants out of Catoosa County. Headrick was contacted, detained and transported to the Hamilton County jail.

October 02 – Day Shift
6800 blk of Ringgold Road- Road Rage/Fight-
A passerby called to report two white males attempting to fight each other on the side of the road. The caller advised one was had been driving a white pick up and the other was in a yellow SUV. When officers arrived the two vehicles and the men were gone.
5391 Reneau Way- Shots Fired-
The caller advised he heard two distinct gun shots coming from the direction of the movie theater. On arrival police checked the wooded area behind the theater and located a man and a woman. The two advised they had also heard the shots. Police continued checking the area but nothing out of the ordinary was located.
3335 Ringgold Road #204 (EPG Homes)- Vandalism-
Upon arrival, police spoke with complainant. He advised the front window glass appeared to have been shot. Police observed the window and confirmed it appeared to be shot, possibly with an air rifle or small caliber firearm. Police did not find any evidence of fired rounds in the area. The security camera in the business did not capture the incident. There is no suspect information.
4154 Ringgold Road (Smart Bank)- Vandalism-
The caller advised sometime during the night an unknown suspect shot at the conference room window causing the outside glass pane to shatter. There was no entry made into the building.
3508 Ringgold Road (Walgreens)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a white female at the business yelling. On arrival officers encountered Wensdy Griffin. She was advised to leave the business and return home. Walgreens declined to issue a criminal trespass warning.
A short time later police were called back and told Griffin was acting strange. Police checked the area of Germantown Road and located Griffin walking home on the sidewalk.
6935 Tiffany Lane- Unconscious Person/CPR in Progress/Back EMS/Overdose-
Police were dispatched with Fire and EMS on a male unconscious and not breathing. CPR was started and Narcan was administered. The patient was transported to Memorial Hospital.
6100 North Mack Smith (Red Wolves Stadium)- Suspicious People/Vehicle-
The caller advised of a suspicious vehicle parked at the gate to the property. On arrival police contacted two males fishing at the creek. They were advised to leave.

October 02 – Night Shift
4203 Greenbriar Road/Domestic Assault:
Reporting party called in stating that her juvenile daughter was assaulting her. While police were on scene police observed marks on the face of the woman. The juvenile was arrested for domestic assault and transported to JDU.
3200 Old Ringgold Road/DOR:
Angel Kilgore was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for driving on revoked at this location.
6000 Ringgold Road/DUI:
Orin Mickelson was arrested for DUI, light law and implied consent at this location during a traffic stop.
3657 Ringgold Road/Misuse of 911:
Jhamonne Woods was arrested for misuse of 911 after calling in five times while at the Cascade Motel.
Germantown @ S. Terrace / Evading:
Police observed a black SUV with partial TN registration of W13 fail to stop for a traffic control device and continued onto South Terrace at a high rate of speed. Police attempted to perform a traffic stop on the vehicle which chose to flee from police. Police deactivated emergency lights and allowed to suspect to safely flee the area via I-24 EB.
1510 Tombras Ave / Traffic Stop:
Geraldine Phipps was arrested for possession of meth, possession of schedule II, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at this location.
718 S. Lovell Ave. / auto theft:
Reporting party called 911 to report an auto theft in progress. He claimed someone just stole his vehicle. As officers arrived in the area, officer located the vehicle, occupied by three people still in the area. A felony stop was conducted, and three juveniles were detained. Two of the juveniles were released to parents and the other was arrested for the theft of the vehicle.
