The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
October 24 – Day Shift
3445 Land Street (warrant service):
Tommy Johnson was taken into custody on an active East Ridge capias for driving on revoked after being found asleep in a car parked in the roadway in front of this address. Johnson was transported to the Hamilton County Jail to be processed.
323 Camp Jordan Parkway (found property):
Two boaters located an overturned orange kayak on the Chattanooga side of the S. Chickamauga Creek. The kayak, which contained food and miscellaneous items, was initially believed to be associated with a body CPD had located in the creek. It was later determined to not be associated with the body. At CPD’s request the kayak was temporarily placed in our impound lot.
1620 Prater Road (burglary):
The resident stated he had a large amount of tools stolen from the storage building on his property. Possible suspect information was provided by a neighbor.

October 24 – Night Shift
3725 Fountain Ave (Domestic Assault 20-014148):
James Pierre was taken into custody for Vandalism, Public Intoxication and Domestic Assault following a disorder with a woman.
3453 Bennett Rd (Suspicious Person):
Caller stated they had observed a male in dark clothing lurking between houses on Bennett Rd. Police did not locate anyone.
1035 John Ross Rd (Crash/Arrest 20-014158):
Hispanic male was taken into custody for DUI, License Required, Financial Responsibility and Resisting Arrest following a crash at this location.
3675 Fountain Ave (Noise Complaint 20-014156):
Reporting party called dispatch stating parties were smoking marijuana and playing loud music in the parking lot. Police arrived and detained three parties. Marquan Acklin and Adrian Toran were charged with Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor. Toran was additionally charged with Possession of Marijuana for Resale.
915 S Seminole (Arrest 20-014160):
Police conducted a traffic stop for a window tint violation. During the stop officers located Xanax, Methamphetamine and Marijuana. During the search of the vehicle Arras Pitts, who was already detained in handcuffs, fled police. Pitts was apprehended and charged with Possession Schedule II, Possession Schedule IV, Escape, Assault on Police, Resisting Arrest, DUI and Theft.
6725 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Activity 20-014161):
Owner of the business stated there was a group of homeless people on the sidewalk in front of the Mercantile. He requested they be asked to leave the property. Police made contact with the parties and they complied with the request.
3400 Gail Dr (Noise Complaint):
Caller stated a downstairs neighbor was running a loud piece of equipment at 04:00 AM. It was determined the loud piece of equipment was a dishwasher.

October 25 – Day Shift
John Ross Road at Ringgold Road (carjacking):
A man offered a ride to an unknown white male on Brainerd Road. Once located in East Ridge, the suspect produced a knife and demanded the the man’s wallet and phone. The man then exited the vehicle at which time the suspect left in the victim’s 2017 Mercedes E300 4Matic. The suspect was later located around Maxwell Road and was pursued to 5322 Clemons Road where he crashed the car before fleeing on foot. He was quickly captured and charged with Theft over $10,000, Aggravated Assault, Felony Evading, Reckless Driving, Resisting Arrest and Hit and Run.
913 Stateline Road (AOA):
An elderly resident fell and was trapped in the bathtub for over twenty-four hours until a neighbor heard her yelling for help. Entry was forced into the apartment, and the resident was transported by ambulance to an area hospital.
6700 Ringgold Road (evading):
Police conducted a traffic stop on a woman who provided enough information to positively identify her as Amy Leming. Upon determining her identity she fled from the stop into Georgia at a high rate of speed. Warrants are being sought.

October 25 – Night Shift
100 Interstate 75N (AOA 20-014187):
Chattanooga Police requested assistance after conducting a traffic stop in East Ridge on Interstate 75. Michael Sullivan had been observed driving recklessly by officers working extra jobs in the construction zone. Sullivan was taken into custody and charged with DUI, Possession of Methamphetamine and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm.
414 Scruggs Rd (Crash 20-014188):
ERPD responded to a roll-over crash with unknown injuries. Officers arrived on scene and quickly determined the crash began in GA coming to rest in East Ridge. The driver appeared to be extremely intoxicated. Georgia State Patrol arrived and took control of the scene and the driver.
1538 Burns Ave (Arrest 20-014190):
Dylan Keeble was taken into custody for Disorderly Conduct, Public Intoxication and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Keeble was standing in the driveway of this address causing alarm to the residents. Keeble stated he had removed a 9MM handgun from an intoxicated party on Vero Beach Dr in Catoosa County after that person discharged the firearm in a residence. Catoosa was notified of the alleged event.
6200 Ringgold Rd (Evading 20-014191):
Officers attempted to stop a motorcycle in the 5200 block of Ringgold Rd. The bike failed to stop and fled east at a high rate of speed. Officers were able to later identify the subject operating the motorcycle as Kevin Thompson. It was learned Thompson has multiple outstanding warrants in Catoosa County. Warrants have been sought against Thompson in East Ridge for Evading and numerous traffic offenses. In accordance with policy officers did not pursue the motorcycle.
505 S Moore (Suspicious Person 20-014192):
Caller stated there was a white male at the intersection of S. Terrace and Moore Rd who appeared to be intoxicated. The party was located in the city of Chattanooga. Chattanooga PD was notified.
1169 Chippewah Ave (Theft of Tag 20-014193):
RP stated someone had stolen her vehicle tag. The suspect, who claimed to be David Hendrix but was later identified as Timothy Johnson, was located hiding under a vehicle at a nearby address. The suspect had wedged himself between the vehicle and the ground. East Ridge Fire responded and freed him from the entrapment. He was cleared by EMS and transported to the Hamilton County Jail on charges of Theft and Evading.
707 S Germantown (Suicide Threat 20-014195):
A woman reportedly made suicidal comments after being located under the influence of narcotics in the 700 block of S Germantown Rd. She was accompanied by her juvenile child at a late hour of the evening. She was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail on charges of Public Intoxication and Child Neglect. Appropriate family services agencies were notified.
4214 Ringgold Rd (Search Warrant):
ERPD Patrol applied for and executed a warrant on a vehicle seized during the arrest of Arras Pitts in the early morning hours of 10/25/20. Officers located 5 grams of marijuana in the vehicle, this in addition to the 1 oz of Methamphetamine and 91 Xanax located during the initial contact. Police also located and seized $12,300 US Currency. Additional charges pending against Pitts.
3100 Ringgold Rd (Juvenile Arrest 20-014201):
Two juvenile females were transported to Hamilton County Juvenile Detention following a traffic stop at 0100 hours. Juvenile 1 was charged with Possession of Alcohol and Driving Without a License. Juvenile 2 was charged with Possession of Alcohol. Both juveniles were from Madison County and parents could not respond to take custody of them.
5500 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Person 20-014202):
Officers responded to a suspicious person in the area. Initially police did not locate anyone but a short time later observed a party who matched the description of the suspicious person. Officers made contact with William Ervin who was found to have warrants through Bradley County. Ervin was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
4222 Ringgold Rd (AOA Warrant Arrest 20-014203):
Police made contact with Alexander Compton after his vehicle was observed parked in a handicap parking space without proper documentation. Compton was found to have active warrants through Hamilton County. He was detained and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1503 McDonald Rd (Arrests 20-014205):
Officers made contact with the occupants of a Scion after it was observed pulling into the parking lot of the Waverly with an unreadable registration tag. An information request revealed both occupants, Pracey Fowler and Lonnie Murphey, had possible warrants. While officers were waiting for the warrants to verify they observed a bag of suspected Methamphetamine in the floorboard of the vehicle within reach of both parties. Neither subject claimed ownership of the narcotics. They were both taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
1130 Chippewah Ave (Stolen Vehicle Recovery):
While officers were standing by with EMS on a CON transport it was learned a vehicle at the address was a stolen car from Georgia. Further investigation lead officers to believe the vehicle was left at the address by a party arrested earlier in the evening who had been attempting to burglarize vehicles, steal tags, and was eventually located hiding under a vehicle from which he had to be freed. The party had been identified as Timothy Johnson at the Hamilton County Jail. Officials in Georgia had Johnson listed as the suspect in the vehicle theft. The vehicle was recovered and additional charges are pending against Johnson.
2809 E 50th St (Recovered Automobile):
CPD notified East Ridge police they had located and towed a vehicle that had been reported stolen from 1417 St Thomas St. The owner of the vehicle was contacted by CPD and given direction on recovering the vehicle.
