The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
Sept. 30 Day Shift
800 McHann Drive (disorder):
A caller stated he was walking his dog on Ida Belle Lane when a female resident began following and bothering him. Police spoke with the female, identified as Wensdy Griffith, who claimed she was not trying to bother the caller but just trying to have a conversation with him. The caller stated he’ll stay away from Ida Belle Lane in the future.
4222 Ringgold Road (disorder):
An employee with the Speedway called to report occupants of an orange Honda Element were in a heated argument inside the vehicle, and it was causing a disturbance. Police spoke with the driver, who claimed she was explaining to her grown children the problems of being a parent and having to deal with seven children.
1318 Laredo Avenue (miscellaneous):
A caller reported cars were speeding through the area at speeds of 40-50 mph. Police checked the area multiple times and did not locate any speeding vehicles at the time.
4030 Ealy Road (assist FD):
Police responded with ERFD after a tree fell on top of a residence. No one was injured and the damaged part of the home was unoccupied.
5327 Matthews Drive (property damage):
The resident was away from his residence from 9/24/20 until noon today. Upon returning home he found white powdered dust on his living room furniture which is a result from what appears to be a bullet hole in his wall. It’s possible the bullet came 5325 Matthews Drive, but police were unable to make contact with anyone at this location.

Night Shift
535 St Marks Ave/ Disorder:
Reporting party states kids are coming on to their property and leaving a mess behind while they are at work. Police made contact with the kids and parents of said kids at 112A St Marks Ave. The parent stated the kids will be held accountable.
1410 Mack Smith Road- Domestic Assault- 20-013059-
Courtney Smith was arrested for domestic assault for punching his girlfriend several times while in the vehicle. The victim did have bruising and scratches on her face consistent with being assaulted.
4908 Maryland Drive- Suspicious Activity- 20-013063-
Reporting party stated a truck was seen driving slowly up and down the street and they could smell the odor of “airplane glue.” Officers checked the area but did not locate anything.
6514 Ringgold Road- Evading arrest/ Driving while revoked- 20-013054-
Officers responded to a fight at the Mapco gas station. Once on scene, they were advised the fight was over a stolen weed eater that was stolen in Ringgold, GA. The victim found the weed eater on social media for sale and attempted to confront the suspect. The victim and community members advised police that the suspect was running through backyards and then behind the senior citizen’s home. Officers took chase of the suspect and he was taken into custody.
5319 Ringgold Road- Criminal Trespassing- 20-013055-
Drew Boyer and Tommy Nation were issued criminal trespass warnings at the request of the store manager.
1410 Mack Smith Road- Agg. Domestic Assault/ Interfering with 911 call- 20-013062-
Jordan Galusha was arrested for Aggravated Domestic Assault and interfering with a 911 call when he slammed the victim on a bed and strangled her. He then took her phone while she was attempting to call 911.
1521 Springvale Road- Disorder/ Contempt of court- 20-013055-
Reporting party called police stating her mother, Katherine Gilbert (AKA Martin) came to her residence today and was yelling at her which caused a disorder. Katherine was ordered by the courts to stay away from the RP. Warrants are pending for violating a TPO and conditions of release.
6401 Ringgold Road- Traffic Stop-
Amber Worley was cited for driving while suspended and simple possession of marijuana.
