The following information was compiled from “pass along” reports from the East Ridge Police Department.
Nov. 6 Day Shift
914 South Seminole Drive- Burglary-
The resident advised he had awoken at approximately 0800 hours to find his home had been burglarized and his 2 vehicles taken. The victim stated he found a window to the laundry room had been opened from the outside. A rear door to the kitchen had also been opened. The victim stated his wallet, his wife’s lunch box and key to a 2017 Kia and 2015 Ford were taken. The victim located his wallet and his wife’s lunch box in the back yard. The victim also stated he had left his passport in the Ford Fusion and it was taken with the vehicle. The keys were used to take both vehicles. Kirkland’s pest control, located next door to the residence, had video surveillance of what appear to be 2 black males walking around the south side of the residence at approximately 0544 hours. The males appear again at 0554 hours, open the vehicles and drive away. CID Beck responded to the scene and processed the house for evidence. The vehicles, a Blue 2017 Kia VIN5XXGT4L33HG172455 and a tan Ford Fusion VIN 3FA6P0HD7FR260892 were entered in NCIC as stolen.
Hutcheson Street @ South Seminole Drive-
Abandoned Vehicle- Police located an abandoned Buick at the intersection. It was towed by East Ridge Auto.
941 Spring Creek Road (Parkridge East Hospital)-
Disorder/Mental Health- Police were called on a patient causing a disorder with staff. Officers responded and helped regain order.
6501 Ringgold Road (Popeye’s Chicken)- Disorder-
The caller advised of an angry patron entering the business and knocking over a tea dispenser. The disorder was due to the business not having chicken sandwiches. The suspect was gone on arrival.

Night Shift
6407 Ringgold Road / Theft:
The complainant contacted police to report that her wallet was taken between the hours of 1900 and 2000, while her and her husband dined at Portofino’s Restaurant. Police conducted that interview over the telephone since the couple returned to their hotel room on Brainerd Road before reporting the incident. No suspect information available at the time of the report.
5332 Oakdale Ave. / Traumatic Injury:
Police responded with Fire and EMS to this location for a traumatic injury. Police contacted the male patient and it was determined he fell after having too much to drink and potentially suffered a broken arm. No police action was taken.
2007 McBrien Rd. / Disorder:
Police responded for an intoxicated party at this location. It was told to police a 31-year-old male was drunk and causing issues. Upon arrival the sister of this party stated he suffered severe mental health issues, after speaking with the mother of this party she advised the male did have a mental health history but it was not severe enough to cause him not to be able to care for himself. The male party fled prior to police arrival and was not located.
5080 South Terrace (AMC parking-lot) / Auto Burglary:
Police were called in reference to suspicious activity. Upon arrival police contacted the victim who stated he went into the movie theater around 1930 hours and when he came out the rear left side window of his Lexis was busted out and that a few items were missing from his vehicle. The missing items are three black duffel bags that contained three window gutter guard kits, a vinyl kit and a roofing shingles kit. The victim estimated a total value of stolen items to be $2,000 and $200 to repair the window. There is no video surveillance available currently.
