The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
On Sunday morning at about 1 a.m., an East Ridge police officer saw a car being driven “erratically” in the 700 block of Germantown Road. When the officer stopped the vehicle, he discovered that a 12-year-old girl was behind the wheel. According to a report, she had a 13-year-old passenger with her.
Once things were sorted out, a “very irate” grandmother arrived to take possession of the car and the kids back home. According to a report, “no further action was taken due to the grandmother’s promise to handle the issue personally.”
November 07 – Day Shift
601 Maple Lane (AOA):
Police found a white Honda Prelude that was on fire. ERFD responded and extinguished the fire. Police turned the scene over to the Fire Department.
4320 Bennett Road (disorder):
Coaches and family members became upset at the referees after a series of bad calls. Threats were made to the referees, and police were called. The league director was contacted, and the offending team was removed from the fields.
4214 Ringgold Road (warrant service):
Charles Goins Jr. was arrested on active East Ridge warrants.
6300 Ringgold Road (suspicious activity):
Police responded to Krystal’s concerning an unconscious man in a vehicle. Contact was made with Justin Giles who was arrested on numerous warrants through the county.

November 07 – Night Shift
4200 Ringgold Rd (DUI Arrest 20-014775):
Jose Rodriguez was arrested for DUI, Speeding and Open Container during a traffic stop at this location. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
3308 Navajo Dr (Shots Fired 20-014774):
Residents reported hearing 5/6 shots in rapid succession. After speaking with witnesses its believed the shots were actually in Chattanooga. Officers did not locate any suspects.
6519 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 20-014777):
Clerk at Super 8 motel called dispatch claiming there were five or more parties in the lobby threatening to assault her. Police had just finished a call at the motel with the same parties who were very hostile towards law enforcement. Officers were able to calm the situation for the evening.
3224 Navajo Dr (Disorder 20-014779):
Police responded to the parking lot of The Unitarian Universalist church after a caller stated they observed a disorder between a male and female. Subjects were gone when officers arrived.
183 I-24 W (Public Intoxication 20-014782):
James Brookshire was taken into custody after police located him standing outside of his vehicle on Interstate 24 in an intoxicated state.
4300 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Activity):
Officers observed an audible alarm in the 4300 block of Ringgold Rd. While attempting to locate the alarm police heard a single gunshot in the area close to Newport Drive. Officers located the source of the alarm at Sonic and notified a responsible party. The source of the gunshot was not located.
700 S Germantown Rd (Fail to Stop/Evading 20-014784):
Officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a white Ford SUV in the 700 block of S. Germantown. The vehicle failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed. Police deactivated all emergency equipment and allowed the SUV to flee safely per policy. Identity of the driver is being confirmed for future prosecution.

November 08 – Day Shift
441 Bluebird Circle (abandoned property):
A caller reported a 21’ flatbed trailer was left on the property by the pumping station. The trailer had several tools on and around it and had one flat tire attached to it and another lying on the ground next to it. Police were unable to locate a VIN on the trailer or determine ownership of it. The trailer was towed by Cannon’s Wrecker service and will be held until an owner can be located.
6674 Ringgold Road (attempted burglary):
Police were dispatched to room 164 of the OYO Motel regarding a burglary in progress. The reporting party stated he heard someone trying to enter his motel room through the sliding glass door. RP stated the suspects were two white males driving a black Mitsubishi with a gray colored trunk. Police searched the area but were unable to locate the vehicle which had left the area prior to police arrival.
6514 Ringgold Road (unconscious party):
Police were dispatched to the Mapco, regarding a male party sitting in the driver’s seat of a Prius, that appeared to be unconscious. Police made contact with the male party, David Berry. Mr. Berry was under the influence of prescription drugs. Mr. Berry was taken into custody for public intoxication and possession of methamphetamine.
3100 Ringgold Road (property damage):
Police were dispatched to the tunnels regarding the low clearance sign hanging by only one chain. Police contacted TDOT who responded to the tunnels and repaired the dangling sign.
1201 South Seminole Drive (AOA):
Tyler Brown was taken into custody for active felony warrants out of Bradley County following a traffic stop at this location. Brown was surrendered to the BCSO at I-75 Exit 11.
4214 Ringgold Road (found property):
Baseball equipment was located near City Hall and turned in at the police department. It was placed into Property and Evidence.
6300 Ringgold Road (criminal trespass):
Jonathan Parker was trespassed from the Krystal’s property at the request of management after Parker created a disturbance with the staff.

November 08 – Night Shift
1417 N Smith (Disorder):
RP stated he was in a verbal disorder with two friends in his residence. He asked the parties to leave and they refused. The disorder then became physical. Warrants for Assault and Vandalism will be filed against the two. The subjects of the warrants left before police arrived.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 20-014815):
East Ridge warrants served on Chelsea Lemay at the Hamilton County Jail.
3418 Missionaire Ave (Burglary 20-014818):
Resident arrived home from work to find his home had been burglarized. Several firearms were taken as well as a laptop. CID responded and processed the scene.
4338 Ringgold Rd (Stolen Vehicle 20-014821):
RP came to the East Ridge Police Department to report his 2004 gold Nissan Maxima had been stolen from the Food Lion parking lot. A suspect was identified and warrants are being sought.
6116 Ringgold Rd (Delayed Assault 20-014822):
RP stated she was at JJ’s Food Mart earlier in the day when her estranged husband’s girlfriend assaulted her. The RP had redness and swelling on her face from the assault. Warrants to be sought for the suspect.
