Moore Named Mr. Football

East Ridge running back Traneil Moore was named the 2015 Tennessee Titans Mr. Football Class 3A Back of the Year by the TSSAA on Monday.

Moore, a junior, becomes the first player in the school’s history to receive the distinction. The award goes to the top running back and lineman in each of the state’s classifications.

“This is a huge individual honor for Traneil and unbelievable for the program,” ERHS Tracy Malone said Monday afternoon.

According to East Ridge statistics, Moore rushed for 2,266 yards this season and scored 27 touchdowns as the Pioneers posted a 12-1 record and advanced to the TSSAA State Quarterfinals game.
