East Ridge’s losing streak in high school baseball continued this week, as the Pioneers dropped a home-and-away series to Hixson.
East Ridge lost its home game to the ‘Cats, 10-0, on Monday. Things didn’t get much better on Tuesday, as the Pioneers dropped the away game, 11-1, on Tuesday.
The lone bright spot: Justin Tiller had three hits in the series.
Pioneer Coach Craig Murley said Hixson is a very strong team with several players who will continue their baseball careers in college.
East Ridge (4-11) will try and get back in the win column today as it hosts Central at 5 p.m.
