Day Shift March 27
25-003230 – 5900 Ringgold Road – Traffic Violation / Arrest – Police initiated a traffic stop on a black Honda Odyssey for failing to stop for a school bus with its lights and signs activated. The driver was found to be driving on revoked for DUI. The subject was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail.
25-003229 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Theft – Staff reported a suspect entered the store, filled a shopping cart up with groceries, and left the store in a grey Chevy Impala (TN Tag) without paying. Pending identification of the suspect, a warrant for Theft of Property will be sought.
25-003234 – 4100 BLK East Ridge Drive – Animal Abuse/Misuse of 911 – A party called dispatch complaining about East Ridge Animal Services threatening to kick her door down to remove one of her dogs. The dog is now considered dangerous, and she was informed she would have to follow municipal codes to be able to keep it. The party became combative over the phone and would not let the police nor East Ridge Animal Services speak to her. She had called Dispatch using the 911 emergency line five times within an hour. Police will be seeking warrants for Misuse of 911.
Night Shift March 27
25-003240 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a party was arrested for Reckless Driving, Financial Responsibility, and Evading. Upon activation of emergency equipment, the driver refused to stop, drove through stop sign intersections, and briefly drove on the wrong side of the road. She then parked her vehicle at an apartment complex and complied with all further interactions. The woman was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without further incident.
25-003242 – 600 BLK S. Germantown Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a woman was arrested on three warrants out of the Hamilton County Sessions court. She was transported to the Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-003245 – 1300 BLK Sunnyfield Lane – Unknown 911 – Police responded to a 911 Hang-up and found several individuals at the residence. Police worked through a significant language barrier to determine the 911 call was an accident and no one needed assistance.
25-003248 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Inmate Hold Placed – Deputies with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man for six Forfeiture Capias warrants through the City of East Ridge. A Hold for Extradition was sent to the Chattooga County Jail. The original charges for the capias warrants were Burglary, Simple Assault, Possession of Methamphetamine, Resisting Arrest, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Public Intoxication.
