Day Shift January 31
25-001110- 200 BLK Windmere Drive- Theft from a vehicle – The resident reported between 0200 and 0800 hours the passenger side window of his Honda Accord had been broken, and his royal blue backpack which contained a binder, a black LG laptop, Bose headphones, and a TI84 calculator had been taken from the vehicle.
25-001117 – 6000 BLK Wentworth Ave – Suspicious Activity – Dispatch received an anonymous online tip reporting screams from this address, allegedly a female screaming for help and indicating she was being hurt. Police searched the area and spoke with a resident who had not heard any screams.
25-001122 – 1300 BLK St Thomas St – Mentally Disturbed – The resident called for police assistance, reporting that his roommate was experiencing a mental crisis. Upon arrival, officers found the party on the couch, not exhibiting abnormal behavior. He agreed to discuss the situation with both the police and the RP. The party stated he would refrain from yelling to maintain a peaceful environment.
Night Shift January 24
25-001129-1000 BLK Bass Pro Dr.-Suspicious Person/Arrest – Police received a call that a male subject was at the listed address attempting to buy a firearm. The male subject was flagged by TBI and had a possible aggravated assault warrant. Police contacted the male and confirmed the warrant. The male was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County jail to await extradition.
25-001141- 5300 BLK Ringgold Road- Arrest – A man was arrested for Driving under the Influence.
25-001142-4100 BLK Ringgold Road-Warrant Service – A warrant was sworn for Aggravated Assault (Domestic) for an incident that occurred on December 9, 2024. The victim had shown officers a video recording of the suspect violently strangling her while she lay in bed. The suspect was arrested and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
Day Shift February 1
25-001155 – Community Center 1515 Tombras Ave – Disorder – An elderly man took his cane and tapped a female to get her attention. The female claimed he was being aggressive. Video footage indicated there was no assault.
25-001148- Frawley Street/Germantown Road-Suspicious Person – Police checked the area for a male loitering around Frawley Street and Germantown Road. The individual was gone upon arrival.
25-001151-900 BLK State Line Road- Assault in Progress – Police responded to the apartments for an anonymous caller stating he could hear a male and female fighting but could not provide an apartment number. On scene Police were able to locate the two individuals. Upon further investigation no primary aggressor in the incident could be determined, the two parties agreed to separate without issue, and a report on file.
25-001153 – 1000 BLK Bass Pro Dr – Suspicious – A man was attempting to purchase a firearm and TBI alerted East Ridge Police. He had left the premises prior to officer arrival.
25-001159 – 200 BLK Eads Street– Lost Firearm – A party reported her Glock 23 missing after it was last seen on her bed at home. At the time, only her son was present, but the firearm cannot be located. The gun has been listed in NCIC, and she was instructed to contact authorities if it is found.
Night Shift February 1
25-001170 – 200 BLK Windmere Drive – Burglar Alarm – Police responded to a motion sensor alarm. Residents were informed. It was determined the alarm was triggered by the family rabbit that had escaped from his enclosure. No incident.
25-001178-1400 BLK Mack Smith Rd.-Disorder – Police received a call from security staff regarding a male party that was found smoking suspected marijuana. The male party was asked to leave by security but refused. When police arrived on the scene, they located the male standing outside of his room. The officer informed the male that hotel staff requested that he leave the property. The male gathered his belongings and left without incident.
Day Shift February 2
25-001186 – 1600 BLK Prater Rd – Suspicious – Police responded to the location for a delayed report of an older male wearing a tan hoodie and handling a firearm. The reporting party noted that the individual did not appear to be acting in a threatening manner but requested the situation be investigated. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate anyone in the area matching the provided description.
25-001187 – 1500 BLK Waterhouse St – Well Being Check – Police responded to the address after receiving multiple emergency calls from a female reporting she was headed there. Upon arrival, officers met the woman who stated she was intoxicated and had possibly been assaulted in Georgia. When asked if she wanted to go to the hospital for evaluation, she declined and said she planned to rest at the residence to sober up. She was also advised she could report the alleged assault in Georgia.
25-001194 – 600 BLK S Lovell Ave – Backup EMS – Police responded to this location for a female having a mental crisis. She was cooperative with officers and EMS. EMS transported her for evaluation.
Night Shift February 2
25-001201-I75 NB Ramp- Traffic Stop/ Narcotics Arrest – Police stopped a vehicle for speeding. During the interaction with the driver, police observed an odor of marijuana emitting from the driver’s side window. During a vehicle search, a white powdery substance was discovered as well as drug paraphernalia. The driver was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for simple possession.
25-001210 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Person – Police observed a male riding his scooter down the middle of the roadway after curfew. Officers conducted a field interview and returned the juvenile to his home with a warning about curfew and safer scooter operations “off the roadway.”
Day Shift February 3
No Case Number- 5300 BLK Stone St- Animal Cruelty – Police spoke with animal services to take a report of animal cruelty. Animal services advised a female abandoned her 8-month-old puppy. The dog was observed abandoned in a crate full of feces, with no food or water. Animal services advised the dog’s hair was matted to the point where it could not see and would need to be sedated to remove the fur from its face. Warrants are being sought.
No Complaint Number – Frawley Street & Broughton Street – Aggressive Animal – Police responded to the area to check for a brown dog that was following a child and acting in an aggressive manner. No animals were located.
Night Shift February 3
25-001230 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Pkwy – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Following a traffic stop, police conducted a probable cause search of a vehicle and located a scale and grinder with marijuana residue. Police seized the drug paraphernalia and released the driver after discussing the potential legal ramifications.
25-001226 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Road – Narcotics Violation / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, police located approximately 0.6 grams of suspected cocaine in a maroon sedan. The owner of the vehicle was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-001233 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/ Assist for Other Agency – Police conducted a traffic stop with a white Ford Fusion due to a non-operational headlight. The driver was found to have three active arrest warrants through Hamilton County Sessions Court. He was taken into custody and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
25-001236 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Narcotics Violation – Police conducted a traffic stop with a red Jeep due to light law violations. A passenger was found to have two active warrants through Hamilton County and was taken into custody. Police then determined that he had ingested approximately 1.0 gram of methamphetamine at the beginning of the traffic stop. The party was transported to medical facility for observation and treatment. Police will seek warrants for Possession of Methamphetamine and Tampering with Evidence.
