Day Shift February 27
25-002075 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Delayed Shooting / Person Shot – Police responded to 941 Spring Creek Road in reference to a person shot. Police determined that the shooting occurred at a business in the 4300 BLK of Ringgold Road. Based on statements provided by the victim and a witness it is believed that the man was carrying a .22 pistol on his person and adjusted his clothing at which time the pistol fell to the floor causing a round to discharge into his right leg. He drove himself to the emergency room and provided the pistol to police for examination. Police did observe that one shell casing in the revolver had been fired. The party was treated for non-life-threatening injuries and discharged from the hospital.
25-002079 – Spring Creek Road/Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Arrest – A traffic stop was initiated on a party following an LPR hit for a wanted person. She was then transported to jail and served with two East Ridge warrants – Assault and Interference with 911.
Night Shift February 27
25-002097 – Interstate 24 Westbound – Assist Other Agency / Vehicle Pursuit – A Georgia State Patrol unit reported a pursuit with a reckless driver, suspected of DUI, as he entered Tennessee. Two ERPD units followed the solo GSP unit with the intent of supporting the trooper if the suspect vehicle was stopped. The pursuit ended in Chattanooga near Amnicola Highway after the suspect vehicle crashed in an industrial park. The vehicle driver fled on foot and the ERPD K9 unit located the suspect in a nearby construction area. The driver then went into a seizure due to a possible drug overdose and was stabilized with a dose of Narcan. The identity of the driver has not been determined, and he was transported to the hospital in custody of THP. Warrants are pending for the driver through GSP, ERPD, and THP. A female passenger in the car was found to have multiple felony warrants through Hamilton County. Another female passenger was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
25-002071 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail for three Forfeiture Capias through the City of East Ridge. The original charges for the warrants were Possession of Methamphetamine for Resale, Possession of Schedule I and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
25-002087 – 1500 BLK Swope Drive – Overdose – Police responded to an Unconscious Person complaint and located the subject unresponsive, but breathing, in her residence. Officers administered one dose of Narcan and provided immediate care until EMS arrived. Officers located four burnt straws consistent with illegal narcotic use. The drug paraphernalia was seized and placed in the ERPD Property and Evidence for destruction. The party was transported to a local hospital by EMS for further care.
25-002088 – 3200 BLK Gleason Drive – Domestic Assault / Arrest – Police responded to a domestic disorder at this residence and heard sounds of an active assault inside the home. Officers forced entry into the back door of the residence and arrested a man for Domestic Assault and Child Abuse. The victim and her child left the area with a family friend and the suspect was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
25-002098 – 1600 BLK S. Smith Street – Unconscious Person / Assist EMS – Police responded to this residence on the report of an unconscious person. Police located the individual and provided immediate care until EMS personnel arrived on scene. No suspicious activity was noted at the residence.
25-002100 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service Hold – A man was taken into custody by the Fort Oglethorpe Police Department after he was found to have active warrants through the City of East Ridge. The subject was transported to the Catoosa County Jail and a hold was faxed to the jail.
25-002102 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity – A female called the 911 Dispatch stating her boyfriend kicked her out of her black Honda sedan and he had a firearm with him. The female caller stated her name and her boyfriend’s name. The dispatcher heard yelling, then the phone hung up. Police immediately checked the area, but they did not locate the vehicle or the subjects. LPR data was also checked. The 911 call was made from a blocked phone number, and a location could not be established. The information for the incident was BOLO’d to the surrounding jurisdictions.
