Day Shift February 14: B Team
25-001647- 4300 BLK Ringgold Road- Assault – Police responded to a call about a male with reddish-blonde hair, a cream-colored hoodie, and black sweatpants attempting to open a woman’s car door while screaming at her and striking her vehicle with his fist. The driver of the van stated that she feared for her safety and thought the male party was going to harm her. The male suspect then left in a white sedan with a possible TN tag which is registered to a female party out Chattanooga. Both witnesses stated that a female was driving the vehicle the male suspect got into. Based on this once a positive identification is made on the male party warrants with be sought for Assault.
Night Shift February 14
25-001654 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Pursuit of Vehicle – Police received an LPR hit in the 6600 block of Ringgold Road for a vehicle previously involved in a shooting. Officers located the vehicle in the 6400 block of Ringgold Road and observed the vehicle’s tag lights were not illuminating. Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, but the vehicle fled onto I-75 North. Police pursued the vehicle on I-75 into Bradley County where the pursuit was terminated. No charges can be sought due to the unconfirmed identification of the driver. Cleveland PD located the vehicle abandoned in the parking lot of a restaurant in Cleveland. Witnesses described seeing three males jump from the vehicle and run. The unidentified males were carrying backpacks where one possessed a black metallic object (suspected of being a firearm) protruding from the pocket of one bag.
Day Shift February 15
25-001661-5200 BLK Ringgold Road- Warrant Service – A man was served by the Tennessee Highway Patrol on a traffic stop in McMinn County on two East Ridge Warrants for Aggravated Robbery and Criminal Conspiracy (Agg. Robbery). He was transported to the McMinn County Jail and a hold was placed on him.
25-001662 – 5300 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop/Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop at this location for expired registration, a man was detained for a valid Collegedale warrant for Failure to Appear. He was then transported to jail where he was served the warrant.
25-001674 – 3700 BLK Ringgold Rd – Warrant – Officers initiated a traffic stop for a traffic violation on a black Hyundai Elantra. The driver was found to have active, extraditable warrants out of Dade County. He was taken to Hamilton Couty Jail.
25-001673 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI Stop – Officers initiated a traffic stop for an expired registration. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was taken into custody for DUI.
Night Shift February 15
25-001679-6600 BLK Ringgold Road-MVC Injuries/DUI/Public Intox Arrest – Police responded to the area for a motor vehicle crash that resulted in injuries. Upon arrival, they discovered that a man was driving under the influence. He was arrested and charged with driving under the influence, driving without a license, and failing to exercise due care. The passenger of the vehicle was advised to call for a ride because the vehicle was being towed. However, due to his level of intoxication and his refusal to call for a ride, police placed him in custody for public intoxication.
25-001687 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A man was taken into custody at the Hamilton County Jail for an East Ridge warrant for Public Intoxication.
Day Shift February 16
25-001698- 900 BLK Spring Creek Road- Disorder – A man refused to leave the hospital after being told he had been discharged. Security and nurses repeatedly instructed him that he was discharged and needed to leave the hospital. He was steadfastly uncooperative with officers when they began instructing him to leave. Ultimately Hospital staff requested he be trespassed.
Night Shift February 16
25-001711- 6600 BLK RINGGOLD RD- DUI ARREST – A man was arrested for DUI after being found passed out at the red light at the I-75 NB Exit 1 ramp. He initially failed to comply, would not exit the vehicle and began reaching around the passenger compartment. The subject on multiple occasions drove the car forward in small increments. He eventually complied, opened the door, and was removed from the vehicle. The suspect was subsequently arrested for suspicion of DUI.
25-001725- 6500 BLK Ringgold Road-Assist Other Agency – A man was arrested on a traffic stop for a valid warrant out of Sessions Court.
Day Shift February 17
25-001746 – 600 BLK Camp Jordan Parkway – Check Wellbeing – An employee requested police check on an elderly gentleman after he confided in them that he was dropped off four hours earlier and had no way of getting back home. He was given a courtesy ride.
25-001734- 3000 BLK RINGGOLD RD- MVC Injuries/Arrest – Police responded to this address due to a crash with injuries. Officers observed a male was laying on the roadway next to his motorcycle. He complained of a head injury and was unable to move his legs. Witnesses told police they saw a tan Chevy Tahoe rear end the motorcycle while he was on his bike. The driver of the SUV left the scene. Another witness stated he followed the SUV to an apartment complex. Police responded to the location and located the vehicle and the driver. He was taken into custody and charged with leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a license. The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.
25-001745 – 4100 BLK Ringgold Road – Auto Theft – Police spoke with the reporting party who stated she had handed the keys to an unknown male subject who asked to see a vehicle that was being sold at her store. She was not able to walk outside with the subject because she was with customers. The male subject entered the vehicle and drove away. The vehicle is a 2008 Toyota Sienna, silver in color and did not have a tag attached to it at the time of the theft. At this time, no suspect has been identified.
Night Shift February 17
25-001751 – 800 BLK South Seminole Drive – Domestic Disorder – Police responded to a disorder at this address. Each person accused the other of simple assault. Officers did not observe any signs of injuries. Police also determined the argument started over lost property. The parties agreed to separate for the night. Police also spoke to the homeowner who stated this was an on-going issue with the two subjects.
25-001753 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Suspicious Activity / Arrest – Police observed an unoccupied Volkswagen sedan idling in the parking lot of the motel. An officer approached the vehicle and observed narcotics with drug paraphernalia in plain view. The vehicle owner was located and was provided verbal commands to stop in both English and Spanish. The suspect failed to comply and resisted when police took him into custody. The suspect was identified charged with Simple Possession of Marijuana, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Public Intoxication, and Resisting Arrest.
25-001757 – 1500 BLK McBrien Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – Following a traffic stop, a party was arrested for Driving on a Revoked License for DUI.
25-001760 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Road – Traffic Stop / Assist Other Agency – Following a traffic stop, a man was taken into custody for an outstanding warrant through the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The original charge for the arrest warrant was Simple Assault. He was transported to the Hamilton County Detention Center without incident.
