Day Shift February 11
25-001517 – 3636 Ringgold Road Food City – Disorder – Officers responded after employees reported a female was causing a disturbance in the store. As police arrived in the area, an employee identified a gray minivan leaving the parking lot as belonging to the subject. An officer conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and identified the driver. She claimed she was upset she was asked for identification to process her food stamp payment for groceries, which led to the disorder. The party was cited for multiple traffic violations for driving on suspended driver’s license and expired registration, as well as being issued a trespass warning.
25-001528 – 4200 BLK Ringgold Road – Disorder/Vandalism – Officers responded for a disorder with a female who had damaged the front entrance door. Police spoke with employees, who advised a female with red hair, black jacket and gray pants, was on talking on the phone and became agitated and raised her voice causing attention to be drawn to her. The subject then aggressively pushed the front door open causing it to come off track. Police later located the subject in the East Ridge City Hall lobby. She stated she was upset about the fines she had to pay the court and accidentally damaged the door because of her agitation. At the request of management, she was issued a citation in lieu of arrest for damage to the door.
Night Shift February 10
25-001548 – 1400 BLK Swope Drive – Harassment – A woman was disturbed from her sleep by text notifications from 10 different numbers of unknown juveniles. After telling the juveniles to stop harassing her, they sent several random photos. Police provided instructions on how to block the numbers.
No number assigned – 20 BLK Crescent Drive – Suspicious Vehicle – Police observed a grey newer model Kia SUV pull three different driveways, turn on hazards, and sit in the driveways with the reverse lights on. Officers attempted to get the Georgia Temp tag on the vehicle but were only able to make out P36. When the officer got behind the vehicle they pulled into a different driveway and then flipped around to go the opposite way. The vehicle proceeded to go northbound on Tunnel BLVD at a fast rate of speed.
25-001540 – 3600 BLK Bennett Rd – Domestic assault – A man stated he was assaulted by his niece after an argument. Officers spoke to the suspect who initially claimed it was only verbal. Both parties involved changed their stories several times. The reporting party then claimed that he thought she hit him and that he could not remember. Both parties appeared intoxicated and admitted to drinking before the argument. Due to conflicting stories and difficulty determining the primary aggressor, the parties were separated for the night.
No number assigned- 3600 BLK Bennett Rd – Warrant Service – While officers were at the location above investigating an assault, the female subject was found to have two verified warrants out of Catoosa County. She was transported to Hamilton County Jail Without further incident.
