The right lane on Interstate 75 south near the I-24 interchange will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday and ending at 6 a.m. Monday, according to information from TDOT.
The stretch of roadway affected will stretch from Highway 153 to the CSX railroad bridge. Traffic from 153 south ramp merging onto I-75 will have to yield.
During the closure, roadway crews will repair damaged concrete slabs. The work is scheduled to take place over several weekends.
Northbound traffic will not be affected by the closure. TDOT urges motorists to find an alternative route for the weekend.
