Lady Pioneers Swamp RB in Girls’ Soccer

East Ridge’s Kayla Deck scored five goals and an assist in leading the girls’ soccer team to an 8-0 trouncing of Red Bank at Camp Jordan, Tuesday.

The win moves the Pioneers to 2-0-1 on the season and a perfect 2-0 in District 6 A/AA. East Ridge is scheduled to play Tyner next Tuesday on the road in another district match.

Serena Smith added two goals, while Ana Stanford also scored. Abby Sweatman picked up four assists en route to the win.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science. He was among reporters who were honored by the Associated Press for the TFP's coverage of the 2002 fog-shrouded crash on I-75 in Catoosa County, Dick and his wife, Cathy, live on Marlboro Avenue where they are seen frequently chasing around their three grandsons.
