Lady Pioneers Clinch District with Win

The East Ridge girls’ soccer team clinched the District 6 A/AA regular-season title with a 4-0 win over Central Thursday night on the Pounders’ home field.

Serena Smith led the way for East Ridge (6-0, 6-2) scoring two goals and an assist. Emily Spiers had a goal and Kolbie Record scored and tacked on an assist.

Coach Jeremy McIntyre said the Lady Pioneers have four regular-season games remaining on the schedule until the district tournament starts in two weeks.

Dick graduated from ERHS in 1976 before going on to the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he studied Political Science.
