Lady Pioneers Blank Sweetwater in Girls Soccer

East Ridge shut out Sweetwater, 5-0, in girls’ soccer action, Thursday at Camp Jordan.

Serena Smith led the way for the Lady Pioneers with three goals. Emily Spiers added two goals and an assist. Sarah Hudgens was credited with an assist.

East Ridge outshot Sweetwater 12-2.

The win improves East Ridge’s record to 8-4 on the year.

The Lady Pioneers will next play in the District 6 A/AA Tournament semi-final contest at Camp Jordan. That game will be against the winner of the Central/Tyner match. Game time is 7 p.m.
