Kati Kennedy, a standout on the Lady Pioneers’ softball team for four years, signed a scholarship Monday with Cleveland State to continue her athletic career.
“She’s a key player, who came through when we needed her and she’s got a lot of power,” said East Ridge coach Kerilyn Mongar.
Kennedy was named to the All District Softball team as a sophomore and was an All District Tournament selection for the last two years.
In both her junior and senior seasons, Kennedy’s batting average was above .400 with a slugging percentage of better than .600. She had 27 RBI in her junior year and 17 this last season.
