June 04 – Day Shift
Maryland Drive @ Marlboro Avenue- Found Drug Paraphernalia-
The caller advised of seeing hypodermic needles lying beside the road. Police responded and disposed of the items.
1400 Boyd Street- Open Door/Warrant Arrest-
After being notified of increased traffic coming to and from this residence officers noted an open door to an unattached garage. Police checked the door for forced entry and located Alfred Chastain asleep in the garage. Chastain claimed to have permission from a resident of the address to sleep in the garage. Chastain was found to have a warrant for Criminal Impersonation through East Ridge and Aggravated Assault warrants through Hamilton County. He was taken into custody and transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
3525 Sunrise Terrace- Burglary-
Upon arrival, police spoke with the complainant who advised sometime between 1030 hrs on 06/02/2020 and 1530 hrs on this date, an unknown subject entered the rear door of the property and removed multiple hand and power tools from a front facing room. Complainant told police he was currently renovating the home and it was not occupied. The complainant advised he had been storing the tools inside the front room while he worked on the structure. The complainant advised he had marked some of his tools with blue paint, but he did not record any serial numbers. The complainant advised he would attempt to compile a list of the stolen tools and submit it to police to include in the report. Police did not observe any forced entry to the residence nor any items to fingerprint. CID was also notified of event.
6674 Ringgold Road- AOA Warrant Service-
Amanda Lerma was detained and transported to 601 on Hamilton county warrants following a traffic stop at this location.
3760 Ringgold Road (Hamilton County Republican Party Headquarters / Trump Campaign Headquarters)- Vandalism-
Upon arrival police spoke to the complainant who advised an unknown suspect wrote on a glass windowpane sometime in the last three days. The complainant stated that the writing was found this morning when they opened for business at 1000 hours. The last individual to work at the location left the business on June 1, at 1400 hours, and the writing was not there. Police observed the following written in black marker on the window: “NO JUSTICE NO PEACE WAKA 2020”. Police also found an illegible name at the bottom of the writing. The staff at the campaign headquarters did not identify any potential suspects. The exact time of the vandalism is unknown and no suspect information was available at the time of this report.

June 04 – Night Shift
5312 Ringgold Road / Stolen vehicle recovery:
A 2004 tan Chevrolet Impala that was stolen from Americas Best Value Inn in Chattanooga was recovered following a traffic stop at this location. The suspect in the theft, Stacey Ball, was driving the vehicle. Police also located 36.8 grams of methamphetamine in the back seat. Stacey Ball was arrested for theft over $2,500, retaliation for past action, and manufacture, delivery, sale, or possession of methamphetamine. She was transported to the Hamilton County jail and is being held on a $12,500 bond. She also has a possible warrant out of Bradley County.
1417 St. Thomas St / Suspicious person:
Michael Brundage was arrested on an East Ridge warrant for possession of drug paraphernalia.
3636 Weldon Dr. / Assist CPD:
Police went to this location to verify the presence of a vehicle involved in a shooting. The vehicle was present and police stayed with it per CPD request until they arrived.
5347 Haisten Court / Disorder:
Police responded to a disorder at this location. A woman stated that her son, Daniel Adams was involved in an altercation with his younger sister’s boyfriend. The woman stated that she tried to make her son leave and he grabbed her by the left bicep where he left bruise marks visible to police. Mr. Adams initially locked himself in the residence but the victim was able to gain entry. She gave police permission to use forced entry if necessary but not needed. Police called Mr. Adams down from the upstairs bedroom and placed him into custody. During apprehension, the suspect coughed in the face of one officer. He stated that he was sick. Police transported the suspect to Parkridge East who cleared Mr. Adams for custody. Police arrested Mr. Adams for Domestic Assault and transported him to the Hamilton County Jail.
4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Police served an arrest warrant for Fraudulent Use of a Credit Card on Tyshaila Chain. Ms. Chain is currently in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.
4222 Ringgold Road / Narcotics:
Police responded to the Speedway to investigate a customer using narcotics inside the female restroom. Upon arrival, police questioned Maureen Hegmann concerning the use of drugs on premises. Police searched Ms. Hegmann’s property finding a pipe and a white straw containing what appeared to be methamphetamine residue. Police also discovered that Ms. Hegmann had a Pre-Trial Capias Warrant for possession of Meth. Police arrested her for the outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. The manager of the Speedway requested that Ms. Hegmann be trespassed from the property.

Robin Evans was trespassed from Food City after being caught concealing items.
6513 Ringgold Road (arrest):
William Brown was placed in custody at Waffle House for public intoxication and possession of a handgun while under the influence.
4214 Dupont Street (property damage):
A blue SUV, driven by an unknown female, struck several mailboxes in the area.

1411 Boyd St. (attempted auto theft):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a white male wearing a motorcycle helmet attempting to steal a Jeep. Birkhead Auto has video and will bring a copy of the video to the Police Department.
4200 Ringgold Rd. (Misd. Cite):
Kristi N. Higdon was issued two misdemeanor citations. Simple possession, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Brittany Bruce was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of schedule IV drugs.

1410 Mack Smith Road Apt. 3301 (trespassing):
The manager of the Budgetel requested Malcom Hardy be removed from the property after being asked by staff to leave. He collected his items and left after being issued a criminal trespass warning.
5574 Ringgold Road (theft):
The property manager of the Rodeway Inn stated he was assisting another customer when Jeremy T. Jones reached into the cash register and stole $578.00 prior to leaving the property.
6802 Ringgold Road (open door):
While conducting a business check police discovered an open door on Suite 104. The building was cleared, no indications of forced entry were found, and the listing agent was contacted.
3218 Gleason Drive (warrant service):
Ronald Gray was arrested on an active Hamilton County warrant at this location.
1314 E. Sherry Drive (AOA):
Police received a tip that Sconda Teems, who had active felony warrants through East Ridge, was at this location. ERPD assisted Walker County, and four people including Teems were taken into custody. A hold has been placed on her.

5700 Ringgold Road (Felony Evading):
Police attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a 1996 Lexus ES300 GA Tag#RUX5295 in the 5700 block of Ringgold Road. The vehicle fled West on Ringgold Road and eventually went through the tunnels into Chattanooga. Police did not pursue the vehicle.
5302 Lazard Street (traffic stop):
Ernest Gaddis was arrested for driving while license suspended, unlawful removal of registration and theft of property following a traffic stop at this location.
3400 Bennett Rd. (misd. Cite):
Andrey Oleksiv was issued a misdemeanor citation for driving on suspended, and a traffic citation for not wearing his seatbelt. This was following Mr. Oleksiv blowing his horn at first responders, 2 fire department vehicles, 1 police vehicle, 1 ambulance, who were there on a emergency medical call. He was upset that the ambulance was blocking the road while he was trying to get home. It was explained to Mr. Oleksiv there were other ways to get home, in fact, he was sent on his way walking.

3900 Ringgold Road (drug arrest):
Savannah Keef was arrested for possession of meth, drug paraphernalia, and tampering with evidence. Roy Keith was arrested for DUI, tampering with evidence, possession of meth, possession of Sch I, and resisting following a traffic stop at this location.
3500 Ringgold Road (violation of order of protection):
Tarance Douglas was arrested for violating a Hamilton County order of protection following a traffic stop at this location.
Terrace/ S. Moore (evading):
A black Ford Ranger, TN CSZ872, fled from police heading onto 24 EB. The driver was a white male with face tattoos, and the passenger was a white female.
4150 Ringgold Road (shoplifting):
Walmart loss prevention reported an unknown black male left the store without paying for fruit and one twenty-four pack of Modelo beer.

June 07 – Night Shift
3720 Anderson Ave. (delayed shots fired):
Police made contact with the female reporting party who stated last evening 6/6/20 around 2230 hours, she was just leaving from a friend’s home when she heard her passenger side rear window shatter. She thought at first it was fireworks that caused the damage. RP stated she was too shaken up to call police until today, police observed a hole in one window and headrest as well as the shattered window. No suspect information at this time.
1400 Boyd Street (Suspicious):
Police were called when two people were observed on the property after being condemned. Inside the home was Sarah P. and four others. Codes was notified and all parties were told to leave the property. Codes will be out to the address tomorrow with the property owner.

June 08 – Day Shift
6700 blk of Ringgold Road- Failure to Stop-
Police attempted a traffic stop on a red Ford F150 displaying TN tag CCC546. The tag was listed as stolen from 201 Eads Street apartment 536. The vehicle fled south into Georgia.
408 Donaldson Road-
While on patrol police observed a blue Toyota Matrix parked in a grassy area behind the residence. Upon checking the Georgia registration (RSV8478) it was found to have been stolen out of Chattanooga on June 6, 2020 (CPD 20-055119). While checking the vehicle, a white female approached officers and stated she had recently bought the car from a white male she only knew as Dee. The white female then identified herself as Monica Dunn and stated she had no paperwork for the vehicle with her. Dunn further stated the tag was on the vehicle when she bought it from Dee, but she could not provide a phone number for the individual. Dunn was issued a Misdemeanor Citation for the possession of the stolen tag. While speaking to Dunn officers also found she had an extraditable warrant through Dade County, Georgia. The stolen tag was removed from NCIC and Dunn was transported to 601.
10 Edwards Terrace- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of hearing one shot in the area. Upon arrival nothing out of the ordinary was located.

June 08 – Night Shift
6519 Ringgold Road (Drug Overdose):
A female subject overdosed on Fentanyl at the Super 8 Motel. She was unresponsive upon police arrival. Officer administered Narcan which caused her to become responsive. She had an active warrant through Collegedale. Police transported her to the hospital for medical clearance. A Collegedale officer took her into their custody from Parkridge East Hospital.
5414 Ringgold Rd / Theft:
Officers observed Cody Ringley exit from the driver’s seat of a stolen vehicle and flee on foot south behind the Mapco, a short time later police took Ringley into custody at the Mapco after he returned to the scene of the crime for theft over $2,500 and evading.
Parkridge East / Disorder with a weapon:
Officers responded two times on a disorderly person that was currently being held at Parkridge East on a CON regarding a mental health evaluation. On the first trip the suspect was just being loud and disorderly. On the return trip, he reported assault a security guard and stole items of his. The man was taken into custody for disorderly conduct, Assault, and Theft.
