June 3 Day Shift
1417 Saint Thomas Street (Motel 6)- Cruelty to Animals-
Upon arrival police discovered a large pit bull locked in a jeep. The dog was panting very heavily and was attempting to attack officers through the door window. Officers spoke with animal control officers and they stated the dog was supposed to be on quarantine due to it biting the owner and then biting someone else. Inside the vehicle, officers noticed the dog did not have any water or food. The vehicle was also parked in direct sunlight and the dog did not have anywhere in the vehicle to sit due to property spread around the vehicle. The temperature when officers arrived on scene was about 79 degrees. Animal control officers gave dispatch the contact information for dog owner and she was identified as Celena Pineda. She was contacted by dispatch and she stated she was not on scene and that someone else was coming to get the dog. While walking to the front of the motel, officer located Pineda walking out of the motel. She was stopped and questioned about the incident and she stated the dog had been in the vehicle since 0400 this morning. Possession of the dog was given to animal control and Pineda was taken into custody for animal cruelty.
6650 Ringgold Road (La Quinta Inn)- Alleged Child abuse / Resisting-
Matthew Burks was arrested and charged with possession of schedule 2, resisting, assault on police, and disorderly conduct after scuffling with officers. Upon being released from the hospital he was transported to 601.
3528 Connelly Lane- Suspicious Activity-
The caller, upon her arrival home this afternoon, said she observed hand prints on a rear window. Upon checking her security cameras no one is seen touching the glass. There are no suspects.
704 Claremont Circle- Noise Complaint-
The caller advised of a silver Ford playing loud music in the area. Upon arrival the vehicle was gone.
6404 Ringgold Road (Burger King)- Hold Up Alarm-
Police responded to check the business. Upon arrival the alarm was found to be accidental.

6404 Ringgold Rd / Intoxicated Person:
Shannon Baker was arrested for public intoxication after entering an “employee only” area of McDonald’s and running across the road, almost getting struck by a vehicle.
6401 Ringgold Rd / Check well-being:
Charlotte Slatton was arrested for DUI after she was observed slumped over the wheel of her vehicle in the McDonald’s parking lot.
5401 Ringgold Rd / Traffic:
Police conducted a traffic stop on a stolen vehicle at this location. The driver Brandon Ferrel was taken into custody for theft and driving on revoked. The vehicle was removed from NCIC and taken to East Ridge Auto Electric.
4214 Ringgold Road / Warrant Service:
Arrest Warrant served on Christin Randolph for Theft under $1,000. She was arrested earlier at 18:06 for a Hamilton County Warrant and transported to the jail.
