June 22 Day Shift
6511 Slater Road Suite 100 (shoplifting):
A store owner’s video captured a male in his 30s prying locks off display cases before stealing four custom pens worth around $200. (20-008518)
930 Donaldson Road (theft):
ATT employee contacted ERPD after discovering the theft of about 240 feet of copper communications line in the vicinity of Mt. Olivet Cemetery. The thieves used cable cutters or a Sawzall to cut out two sections of wire that was hanging low. The employee believes it was a crew of two or more based on the weight of the cut wire. (22-008783)
3100 Ringgold Road (blocked tunnel):
Police had to shut down travel lanes to assist a tractor trailer which had attempted to enter the tunnels. (22-008786)
1002 McHann Road (citizen assist):
A new property owner asked police to clear an abandoned house he had recently purchased and is renovating. Neighbors had reported seeing lights on at night. Police checked the building and discovered some old florescent lights in the attic turned on. (22-008790)
3100 Ringgold Road (tunnel):
A driver with a rental cargo box truck pulled over to the side of the road when she realized her truck was too tall. Police assisted her in getting the truck turned around . (22-008794)
728 Frawley Road (mental illness):
A man was transported by police to Parkridge East for a psych eval. (22-008795)

Night Shift
1410 Mack Smith Rd. (Missing Juvenile 22-008800)
A woman called police to report that her juvenile daughter had come home and could be removed from NCIC. Police spoke with the mother and juvenile who continued to argue with each other during police interaction. The woman requested police take her daughter to JDU because the juvenile would not give her mother her phone provided to her by another party. The juvenile also made statements that the mother’s live-in boyfriend has made vulgar comments to her. A DCS report was filed by police and all parties agreed to separate until they could speak civilly with each other.
1410 Mack Smith Rd (Assist EMS 22-008808):
Police assisted EMS with a male party experiencing what appeared to be narcotic induced hallucinations. He was transported to a local hospital.
893 Donaldson Rd (House Fire 22-08812):
ERPD assisted East Ridge Fire Personnel with a large house fire at this address. No residents were injured and had evacuated prior to arrival of first responders.
600 block S Lovell Ave (Domestic Assault 22-008813):
Johnna Silmon was taken into custody for Domestic Assault and Resisting Arrest. Police responded to a report of a fight between two females. On scene it was determined Silmon was the primary aggressor in a fight with her girlfriend.
4214 Ringgold Rd (Warrant Service 22-008798):
Tiffany Dover was served with an outstanding East Ridge warrant at the Hamilton County jail.
1503 McDonald Rd (Warrant Service 22-008802):
James Hill was taken into custody on an outstanding Hamilton County warrant during a pedestrian stop at the Waverly and transported to jail.
Interstate 75 (AOA Vehicle Pursuit 22-008811):
East Ridge police assisted the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office in a vehicle pursuit from Interstate 75 southbound until the suspect vehicle crashed at the intersection of Cloud Springs Rd and Timber Ridge Trail. The driver, Trevor Lane, was taken into custody by law enforcement in Georgia. Warrants are pending for violations committed in East Ridge.
