The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
July 23 – Day Shift
1472 N. Mack Smith Road (suspicious persons):
Business employees told police there were homeless people hanging around the outside of the shops and sneaking into the woods. Police checked the area and did not locate anyone.
1610 Glowmont Drive (found property):
A Mail Carrier saw a pistol in the resident’s mailbox and called police. Police arrived to find an airsoft pistol which belonged to the juvenile resident at this address.
1410 N. Mack Smith Road (disorder):
A man and woman got into a verbal argument outside room 3110 at the Budgetel. Police spoke with one of the parties, but the other fled the scene. Neither party was a registered guest of the resident in that room.
525 S. St. Marks Avenue (warrant service):
Dwight Land was taken into custody on three Hamilton County warrants.
5300 block Weaver Street (CPR in progress):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a CPR in progress. A female subject allegedly overdosed on heroin but was revived with Narcan. She was transported by ambulance to Parkridge East Hospital.
623 Camp Jordan Parkway (auto burglary):
Complainant reported that unknown party entered the cabinets on his company’s unsecured work truck sometime during the evening and removed his Mac Tools ½ -inch cordless impact driver and a 180pc mechanics tool set. No suspect info at this time.
1000 Bass Pro Drive (shoplifting):
Police responded to this location after a customer called to report a black male party in a black sedan stealing items from the store prior to fleeing at a high rate of speed. The suspect’s vehicle had an Ohio or Illinois tag possibly reading VF79AG.

July 23 –Night Shift
4214 Ringgold Rd/ Vehicle Recovery:
East Ridge police were notified of a stolen vehicle recovery by Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office. The 2017 Nissan Altima was originally reported stolen in East Ridge. Hamilton County deputies arrested Bielman Gaspar in connection to the auto theft.

July 24 – Day Shift
802 Sweetbriar Circle-
Report of a w/m walking down the street carrying a long stick. Officers checked the area but were unable to locate.
601 Walnut St-
Michael Harris was served with an ER warrant
1031 John Ross Rd-
Mtn View Property Management called and advised that a woman was causing a disorder over them asking her to put on a mask inside the business. The woman agreed to leave voluntarily without any further incident.
5304 Reneau Way-
HOA called in and advised 3-4 teenagers had jumped the fence at this location and got into the pool. Parties were made to leave.

July 24 – Night Shift
6519 Ringgold Rd (arrest):
Deanna Mccurdy arrested for possession of methamphetamine and paraphernalia at this location.
6515 Ringgold Road (Champy’s) / Disorder:
Police were notified that an intoxicated white male was forced out of Champy’s for being intoxicated. He began walking on foot east bound on Ringgold Road. He was yelling obscenities and using universal hand signals at passing cars. When police attempted to stop him, he ignored commands and began walking down the exit ramp of the I-75 southbound lanes. Police stopped Fajko Garibovic who became more aggressive and belligerent. Police deployed non-lethal means to gain control of the suspect. After Taser deployment, Mr. Garibovic was escorted to Parkridge East. Once cleared by medical staff, police transported him to the Hamilton County Jail where he became belligerent towards the magistrate. He was taken into custody for disorderly Conduct and Public Intoxication.
5300 Ringgold Road/Narcotics:
Sonya Smith was arrested for possession of meth, possession of Sch II and possession of cocaine following a traffic stop at this location.
623 Camp Jordan Pkwy / Arrest:
Michael Jones was arrested for driving on revoked for DUI following a traffic stop.
5401 Ringgold Rd. / Citizen Assist:
Police stood by while reporting party made a business deposit.
6519 Ringgold Rd / Stolen Auto Recovery:
Police were notified by an off duty CPD officer he received a “hit” on his license plate reader while en-route to an off-duty assignment. Police located the vehicle behind the Super 8 Motel and contacted the occupants of room 119 which is where the vehicle was parked. After speaking to Larry Fowler he admitted being in possession of the vehicle and had the keys as well as methamphetamine. Police charged Fowler with theft over $2,500 and possession of methamphetamine.
728 Frawley Rd / Disorder:
Police responded this location in reference to a disorder. Police spoke to both parties who advised they were arguing over a pair of socks, with no crime being committed and both parties having a residency in the apartment police could not separate against their will. They both decided to stay in separate rooms for the evening.
5500 Ringgold Rd / Evading X2:
Police observed two black Chrysler 300’s traveling west on Ringgold Road in the 5500 block at an extremely high rate of speed. By the time police caught up to the vehicles to conduct a traffic stop they were turning north onto McBrien Rd. When police got behind the vehicle one continued north on McBrien at a high rate of speed the other slowed and activated its turn signal, the vehicle turned onto Marion Avenue appearing to stop then fled at a high rate of speed last seen turning north on Altamaha. Once it was obvious the second vehicle was not going to stop police deactivated emergency equipment and allowed the suspects to safely flee from police.
3725 Fountain Avenue #18 / Theft / Shots Fired:
While on Fountain Avenue police heard the distinctive sound of a gunshot immediately followed by people screaming in the apartment complex of Fountain Gardens. Police went to the area to investigate but were unable to get anyone in the area to cooperate. While still on scene police received a call in reference to a stolen firearm. Police located the firearm inside the residence, the reporting party stated, “she must have put it back after she shot (at another girl present).” When police inquired about the shooting no one on scene would answer any questions and all stated F**k the Police and they would not snitch.
