The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along” reports.
July 18 Day Shift
22-010170- 1410 Mack Smith Road- Disorder-
Security personnel reported a male in room 2205 was refusing to leave the premises. Once on scene police spoke with the male guest. He was advised he needed to leave and that any dispute between Budgetel and himself regarding his payment was not a police issue. The man was instructed to pack up his belongings. He did so and removed his property from the room without further incident.
22-0010171- 3984 Ringgold Road- Fraud-
An employee of First Choice Services of Chattanooga was supervising the replacement of three gas pumps for Stop-N-Go. He observed that the doors to two of the pumps were not secured. He opened both pumps and discovered two electronic devices attached to the card payment scanners. Police requested for the Electronic Services representative to remove the devices and provide them to the police as evidence. Police entered both devices in the East Ridge Property and Evidence Room. The owner of Stop-N-Go was not on the scene to provide any information as to when the pumps were last checked for tampering. There were no signs of forcible entry on the doors of the pumps.
22-010172- 1517 Tombras Avenue- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised a female was sitting on a park bench at Pioneer Frontier near the restrooms and begging people for money. On scene police spoke to the woman who was observed sitting on the park bench as described. She denied asking people for money and stated she was just sitting at the park drinking coffee. She told police she lived on McBrien Road and was going to walk home. Police checked the woman through dispatch and the return stated she possesses a valid driver’s license along with no outstanding warrants for her arrest. Police allowed the woman to go about her business.
22-010174- 6500 block of Slater Road- Suspicious Person-
While on patrol police observed a suspicious male crouching behind an air conditioner unit at a business. Police contacted the male identified as Jonathan Kavanaugh. He advised he was recently kicked out of nearby Budgetel Inn and was looking for a place to stay. Dispatch advised Kavanaugh had active Hamilton County arrest warrants. He was detained and transported to Hamilton County Jail without incident.
22-010181- 5312 Ringgold Road- Burglary/Extra Watch-
The caller advised someone broke into the business over the weekend, but nothing appeared to be missing. On scene police spoke with the caller. She advised she suspected a homeless male that hangs around the building. Inside it appeared someone had been sleeping there. The caller declined to file a report but did request and extra watch.
22-010185- 1453 Mack Smith Road- Suspicious People/Criminal Trespass Warning-
The caller advised a homeless male and female were living in a tent behind the dumpster. On scene police encountered a man and a woman. They were checked for warrants and issued a criminal trespass warning. The two left the property without incident.
22-010189- 714 South Lovell Avenue- Shots Fired-
The caller advised she heard about six gunshots in the area. On scene police checked the surrounding neighborhood. A Witness advised the shots came from 1109 McBrien Road. Officers went to that address and spoke to the resident. He advised he shot off several firecrackers but did not shoot a gun. He was advised to not shoot off fireworks.

Cynthia Woods was served an East Ridge warrant at silverdale.

941 Spring Creek Rd / Disorder:
Police responded to the hospital and met with a male subject. He was not satisfied with his treatment at the hospital and requested to be transported to Joe Johnson. He was transported without incident. (22-010208)
6000 Peck Dr / Warrant service:
Rolando Alvarez was arrested for a Hamilton County warrant after a suspicious person call. (22-010202)
Old Ringgold Road/Ringgold Road / Evading:
Police attempted to catch up to a black sedan driving recklessly. Police lost sight of the vehicle on Old Ringgold Road. No vehicle info. (No number assigned)
