The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
July 09 – Day Shift
6728 Ringgold Road (theft of property):
The complainant went to Camping World to retrieve her 33’ Keystone mobile RV trailer yesterday evening after it was serviced. The complainant discovered the trailer had a flat tire, but they were not able to get it fixed at the time. The lock used to secure the trailer was missing from the interior storage location. The complainant secured the RV as best as they could and went home around 8 PM. They discovered the trailer missing this morning at about 8 AM. There was no security cameras in this location. The trailer is worth about $35,000.
913 Stateline Road (theft of tag):
The resident called in to report his car tag stolen. The tag , TN M5471F, belongs on his 1986 Oldsmobile and was taken within the last few weeks. The tag entered in NCIC.
1409 Sunnyfield Lane (theft of tag):
The complainant called to report his car tag stolen. The tag , TN 6G13P6, belongs on his 2000 Chevy S-10 and was last seen about six months ago. The tag entered NCIC.

July 09 –Night Shift
3400 block Bennett Rd (Suicide Attempt 20-008812):
Police responded to this address on an apparent suicide attempt by a young woman. Her mother stated she had cut her neck and wrists in an attempt to take her own life. Prior to police arrival she fled into the woods behind this address. Police and Fire conducted a search for her locating her approximately 30 minutes later. She was transported by EMS for treatment.
3701 Larry Ln (Theft 20-008814):
The resident notified police his black and yellow 18 speed bicycle had been stolen from his driveway.
4121 Ringgold Rd (Vandalism/Burglary Attempt 20-008815):
Caller stated a black male wearing a hoodie was actively throwing bricks through the windows of Cash Express. As police arrived they made contact with the witness who stated the suspect had fled toward Lomenacque Apartments. Police searched the area to no avail. Two large windows were shattered and a rock was observed on the floor of the business. There was no physical evidence to process at the scene.
Interstate 75 South Exit Ramp (Stolen Vehicle Recovery/Arrest 20-008817):
Michael McDermott was arrested for theft following a traffic stop at this location. McDermott was in possession of a stolen Toyota Tundra, drug paraphernalia, a syringe containing methamphetamine, and a syringe he claimed contained heroin.
5301 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Activity/Narcotics Arrest 20-008820):
Police were dispatched to the Walgreens where store clerks stated a white female had just stolen a pregnancy test from the store. They advised police she left in a black vehicle with a drive out tag. Police located the vehicle at Suntrust Bank 4323 Ringgold Rd. Officers made contact with Melissa Martinez and Jason Jackson. Martinez stated she had just left the Walgreen’s without making a purchase. Police asked Martinez for consent to look in the vehicle for the pregnancy test. Officers immediately located syringes and a spoon with a white residue in the center console. Police located a small folded piece of aluminum foil containing suspected heroin. Jackson had a magnetic box in his front pocket containing several grams of methamphetamine, a pill bottle containing suspected heroin and several syringes. Both subjects were transported to the Hamilton County Jail.

July 10 – Day Shift
3714 Ringgold Road (Dollar Plus)- Alarm-
Police responded to check the business. Upon arrival the business appeared secure.
5301 Ringgold Road (Walgreens)- Delayed Shoplifting-
The store manager reported a black female left the store with a shopping cart full of merchandise and did not pay for it. The theft occurred at approximately 1955 on July 9, 2020 and the suspect left with several bottles of perfume, bottles of cologne and healthcare products. The theft was captured on the store’s video surveillance system and the female was last seen leaving in a small white SUV.
3725 Fountain Avenue (The Summit?)- Theft-
The caller advised she reported a tag stolen a while back and purchased a new one. She’s advising now the new one has been stolen. She feels the suspect from the first theft is responsible for this theft.
1400 blk of Adonna Lane- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of hearing approximately five gunshots in the area. Police responded and located nothing out of the ordinary.
3600 Ida Bell Lane- Wellbeing Check-
The caller advised of a black male sitting on luggage at the side of the road. They advised the male looked as if he needed assistance. Upon arrival police located the male walking south on Germantown Road. He advised he was ok.
1000 Spring Valley Drive- Theft of Mail-
The caller advised a check was stolen from her mailbox sometime around 6-10-20 by an unknown suspect. The suspect then cashed it at a bank in Chattanooga within this week. She was advised to file a report with Chattanooga also.

July 10 – Night Shift
141 Cecil Ln. / Shots Fired:
An unknown reporting party advised he heard two shots fired from around state line road which were too loud to be fireworks. Police responded and found it was in fact fireworks coming from GA.
5301 Ringgold Rd / Narcotic Arrest:
Police were called to this location for an intoxicated person. After making contact with the party Forrest Willing, he was taken into custody for public intoxication, while conducting a search of Willing police discovered heroin in the case of his cell phone. Willing was also charged with possession of schedule I.
5301 Ringgold Rd / Theft:
Police responded to this location after receiving a call, in reference to a theft. After arriving police observed security footage of an unknown female take a child school bag from the shelf and fill it with unknown items throughout the store. The female then ran out the front door and left the scene. The items that were taken is still unknown to police and so is the value.
5302 Rose St. / Civil:
Police were called to this location in reference to an eviction. After arriving officers spoke with a male party who advised he had evicted the tenants of this residence and they were refusing to leave. Police made contact with the tenant who was in the middle of packing a moving truck and was aware she had to be off the property by the following morning. The property owner who appeared to be intoxicated, was advised to please stay on his property and not to be in the street. The homeowner was not able to provide officers with all the eviction notice and was told, without the proper paperwork officers would not be able to assist with making the tenant leave the property. Officers made a second trip to this address regarding the same issue, this time the homeowner and his wife were very intoxicated and becoming belligerent with officers regarding the issue. Officers ordered them inside their home and not to return to the rented house.
500 S Germantown Road/Drug para:
Katie Spencer was issued a citation in leu of for drug paraphernalia at this location. Ms. Spencer was transported to her home on Pontiac Dr.
1201 S Seminole Dr/DUI:
Charles Shaw was arrested for DUI after a rolling disorder at this location.
3700 Connelly Lane/Traffic Stop:
Samuel McAlister was arrested on several Hamilton County warrants. Megan Casteel was issued a misdemeanor citation in leu of arrest for possession of drug paraphernalia at this location.
6 Brockhaven Road/Auto Burglary:
The resident reported that his grey 2017 Honda was entered at approx.. 0250 hours and a Yeti cup was stolen. No suspect information.
601 Walnut Street/Arrest-Warrant:
Phillip D. Coffelt was arrested on CAPIAS warrant for Driving While License Revoked, Suspended.
601 Walnut Street/Arrest-Warrant:
Robert D. Kellis, Jr. was arrested on Aggravated Burglary warrant.
1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel) / Criminal Trespass:
Tina Marie Quarles was criminally trespassed from the Budgetel. She was told to leave but refused to. She had snuck onto the property on several occasions. The night manager requested that Ms. Quarles be trespassed from the property. Police notified Ms. Quarles who stated that she would not return.
