The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
June 29 Day Shift
5301 Ringgold Road (suspicious persons):
Police were dispatched to the Walgreen’s regarding two suspicious males inside the store. Upon arrival, police attempted to make contact with one male party in a truck in the parking lot, but the male driver started backing up almost hitting the officer. Police found the vehicle crashed in the parking lot of Direct Insurance, and the driver fled on foot. The vehicle, reported stolen out of Chattanooga, was towed by East Ridge Auto Electric.
1405 Choate Road (theft):
Police were dispatched to this location regarding a bicycle that was stolen out of the driveway. No suspect information is available at this time.
826 Summit Avenue (fraud):
Police were dispatch to the police department concerning unauthorized credit card purchases made by an unknown suspect.
4320 Bennett Road (theft from vehicle):
The complainant claimed his TN license plate (9J68G4) was removed from his vehicle while he was attending the ERHS graduation on 06/27/20. The plate was entered into NCIC.
Hilldale Drive at Brookwood Drive (suspicious activity):
A caller reported observing a white female with red hair and a black female sitting on a curb near this area for an extended period of time, possibly soliciting. Both were gone upon police arrival.
1410 Mack Smith Road (aggravated assault, DUI):
A man was struck in the head with a chair by an unknown black male following an altercation he had with his girlfriend at his room at the Budgetel. The girlfriend fled the scene in the man’s vehicle and was quickly located with the vehicle at the Super 8 Motel. The girlfriend, Jennifer Gann, was subsequently arrested for DUI. The man refused medical attention, and the suspect could not be located.

Night Shift
1417 St Thomas St ( Narcotics Arrest 20-008205):
Police made contact with Carlstonia Chubb and Shestina Sims in the parking lot of Motel 6. Both parties were found to have active warrants through Hamilton County. Sims was also found to be in possession of possible methamphetamine. Both parties were transported for the warrants and Sims was charged with Simple Possession and Tampering With Evidence.
1417 St Thomas St (AOA Warrant Arrest):
While on scene with Chubbs and Sims police recognized a party in the parking lot having warrants through Hamilton County. Tony Barker Jr was transported to the Hamilton County Jail.
6511 Slater Rd Room 217 (Domestic Assault Arrest 20-008214):
Charles Mull was arrested for Domestic Assault after striking his wife in the mouth. The victim had obvious signs of assault while Charles Mull had no injuries.
6519 Ringgold Rd (Disorder 20-008216):
Police responded to the Super 8 Motel on report of a disorder. The night clerk, stated a man had become irate, beating on the front desk and yelling. He was demanding entry into a room his family had checked out of earlier in the day. It was learned while police were on scene his family had been moved to another room. The irate man was directed to the new room.
183 Interstate 24 East (Crash/Explosion 20-008218):
A tractor trailer struck the guard rail and temporary barrier wall. The vehicle caught fire and exploded causing the Interstate to be closed in both directions for hours (still closed eastbound at shift change). The driver was not injured. Traffic responded to work the crash.
5012 Newport Dr (Traffic Stop/Narcotic 20-008212):
Christi Hunter was arrested for criminal impersonation, theft of property due to the tag being confirmed stolen, simple possession of methamphetamine and driving while license suspended, following a traffic stop at this location. The passenger, Joseph Limbaugh, was arrested for simple possession of methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and accessory after the fact due to lying about the driver’s name. Backseat passenger Keith Parker was transported to the jail on county warrants.
3643 Bennett Rd (Domestic Assault 20-008220):
Maurico Gomez was arrested again for assaulting his girlfriend. She had multiple scratches and cuts on her arms.
