The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports” provided by the administration.
December 31 – Day Shift
5714 Ringgold Road (Walters)- Theft-
On arrival police contacted the complainant and manager, who advised a Snap-On Modis Ultra diagnostic scanner was stolen from the business. The complainant did state that the last time the diagnostic scanner was seen was on 12/24/20. The item was entered in NCIC.
3715 Ringgold Road (Food City)- Theft-
The complainant called police to report he walked away from his buggy in the Food City when an unknown black male wearing all black approached his buggy and stole his tan wallet with his prescription card, credit card, and three checks totaling $316.00 from his buggy. The suspect then fled on foot out the front door and toward the Cascades Motel. Police canvased the area but were unable to locate the suspect.
1400 blk of Reeves Avenue- Shots Fired-
The caller advised of two or three shots toward the end of the street. On arrival officers checked the area and found nothing out of the ordinary.
800 block Poindexter Avenue- Disorder Prevention-
The caller requested police assistance with their unruly neighbors while they start moving. Officers responded a kept the peace.

December 31 –Night Shift
1417 St. Thomas St / Suspicious Activity:
Police were called due to the caller stating multiple people were coming in and out of room 119 and suspected narcotics activity. Eric Dodd was taken into custody on Hamilton County and Soddy Daisy warrants.
4214 Ringgold Road / Arrest-Warrant:
Shondrika R. Jones was arrested on a Forfeiture Capias warrant for Driving on Suspended.
1302 Prater Road / Disorder with Weapon:
Brandon Drew was arrested at this location for Domestic Assault and Vandalism. Police arrived on the scene and spoke with a woman. The woman told police that she came home and was confronted in the driveway of the residence by Drew, who told her he wanted his tires back on her vehicle that he paid for. When the woman did not comply, Drew punctured the tires with a knife. The woman told police that she was afraid of Drew to be alone with her and that she was afraid for her safety during the vandalism. Drew was transported to the Hamilton County Jail with no issue.
4110 Cresthaven Drive / Reckless Endangerment:
Police responded to this location in reference to shots fired call. Police arrived on scene and spoke to Zane Wade, who told police that he had been shooting fireworks. Police were able to determine that Wade had fired a 9MM handgun in the residence’s backyard, confirmed by security cameras at the home. Wade was arrested for reckless endangerment and possession of a firearm while under the influence. Wade was transported to the Hamilton County Jail with no issue. The gun and video of the offense were submitted into property and evidence.
1479 Mack Smith Road / Evading Arrest:
While conducting a traffic stop at this location, a black male identified as Jamey Mitchell fled the stop on foot east on Slater Road. Police lost sight of Mitchell at the Super 8 Motel located at 6519 Ringgold Road. After a search of the area, police were unable to locate Mitchell. It was confirmed that Mitchell has valid warrants through Hamilton County for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Theft over $1,000. A warrant is pending for Evading Arrest through East Ridge City Court for fleeing from police on foot at the traffic stop.
Later, officers witnessed Mitchell get into a Lyft and drive away from the Super 8. A traffic stop was conducted on the Lyft driver, who was uncooperative with officers. As officers attempted the stop, Mitchell jumped from the car, fleeing into the area of Lansdell Park. Officers again lost the suspect and were not able to locate him. He is a tall, skinny black male, wearing all black clothing and red tennis shoes, he has medium length dreadlocks.
613 Maple Lane / Assault:
The complainant was assaulted at his home by an unknown Hispanic male that accompanied a coworker of the complainant’s. The three men were drinking beer together when the unidentified male became agitated and struck the complainant several times in the face. The complainant was transported to Parkridge East by EMS for treatment of a possible broken nose. Not enough suspect information to swear out warrants at this time.

January 01 – Day Shift
6710 Ringgold Road (suspicious vehicle):
Police made contact with two subjects sleeping in a parked car on the lot of the Best Western. Officers made contact with David Brown and Dusty Scott who both stated they were sleeping due to taking Xanax earlier. Scott was arrested on an active East Ridge warrant, and Brown was arrested on Hamilton County warrants. Additional charges were made for drug possession.
613 Maple Lane (disorder):
Police made contact with Oscar L., who is the suspect from the assault at this address last night. Oscar, who had visible injuries on his face, claimed to be a resident of this address and had returned to collect his clothes and money owed him. A supplemental report was filed.

January 01 – Night Shift
6700 Ringgold Rd (Evading):
Police attempted to stop a white Chevrolet Tahoe for a registration violation. The vehicle failed to stop for officers and fled at a high rate of speed. Police did not pursue per department policy.
6700 Ringgold Rd (Narcotics 21-000041):
Police made contact with Miguel Cuevas and located a glass pipe with methamphetamine residue. A warrant will be sought for his arrest.
3801 Ringgold Rd (Shots Fired 21-000043):
A disorder that began in the parking lot of Level Up Arcade ended with parties in a gold sedan discharging a firearm at another vehicle. The suspects were gone when police arrived.
1417 St Thomas St (Sex Offense 21-000047):
Officers responded after receiving reports of a couple having sexual intercourse on an exterior stairwell at the Motel 6. Police made contact with Destiny Alexander and took her into custody for Indecent Exposure and False Reports. Her boyfriend fled the area prior to police arriving.
1309 Swope Dr (Suspicious Vehicle 21-000048):
The reporting parties stated there was a vehicle parked in their driveway that did not belong to them. Police arrived and located a gray Chevrolet occupied by an unconscious Chris Brown. Brown was taken into custody for Public Intoxication.
