The following information was compiled from East Ridge Police Department “pass along reports.”
Jan. 27 Day Shift
21-001151- 5517 Ringgold Road (Suds n Shine Laundry)- Suspicious Person-
On scene police spoke with the business manager. He advised a black male had been sleeping in the business and was not a legitimate patron of the coin laundry. The manager requested the male be criminally trespassed from the location. Inside police located a black male and he was identified as Christopher N. Christopher stated he was homeless and had been living at random locations throughout Chattanooga and East Ridge. Christopher stated he came to the coin laundry the previous evening after he left work and slept on the floor under a table. He was checked through dispatch and a non-extradition warrant through Indiana for a probation violation was located. Christopher was given a trespass warning and sent on his way. The manager requested police check the business throughout the night for people sleeping and loitering.
21-001155- 4040 Brookfield Circle- Auto Theft-
On arrival police contacted the victim who stated his 2015 black Jeep Grand Cherokee was stolen from the driveway. He advised he left the vehicle running and unlocked without the keys inside to warm up before he left for work. While speaking with the victim his neighbor walked up and provided police with camera footage from his Ring doorbell. The footage did not show the suspect(s) or the vehicle being stolen, however it did show the vehicle in the driveway at 0730 and the vehicle gone by 0733. The vehicle has an Auburn novelty plate on the front, along with Auburn headrests and a trailer hitch with an Auburn cover. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
21-001160- 1416 Dover Lane- AOA-
Police responded with Fire to this address regarding smoke in the residence. Once Fire arrived, they handled the call.
21-001161- 3609 Ringgold Road (Family Dollar)- Shoplifting-
On scene police spoke with the reporting party. He advised a white male suspect walked into the store, took an item from the electronics aisle, then left without the paying for it. RP advised the suspect left in a dark green or black, older model Nissan Pathfinder with Tennessee registration tag BNR756. The tag was checked and found to be for a tan Buick from La Folliete, TN. RP described the suspect as a thin, white male approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and looked to be in his mid to late 50’s. He stated he would access the security system to determine if anything else was stolen by the suspect and to provide photos.
21-001173- 1318 South Seminole Drive- AOA-
Police responded with Fire on a brush fire call. Officers stood by while Fire handled the call.
21-001163- 1410 Mack Smith Road (Budgetel)- Disorder-
The caller advised a guest was refusing to leave. On arrival it was found the guest had paid through the day and he advised he would be out on time.
21-001165- 1100 block McBrien Road- Burglary in Progress-
The caller advised she observed a male attempting to enter the residence through a window. On arrival police contacted the man. It was found that the man lives at this address.
21-001177- 6513 McCall Road- Burglary-
The caller advised unknown suspect(s) took several air conditioners, appliances, and plumbing fixtures from the vacant duplexes at this address. A time frame for the theft is unknown.

Night Shift
5378 Matthews Drive ( Theft from a vehicle 21-001183):
Reporting party said that three black male juveniles entered his 2015 Chrysler 200 and removed one pair of Nike Air Force tennis shoes, a bottle of Versace cologne, and six rolls of quarters for a total loss of $225. They got in a black Ford F150 with a red led light band across the tailgate base and fled the scene North on Altamaha Street.
1119 Altamaha Street (Auto Burglary 21-001186):
Reporting party said that three black juvenile males entered his 2004 Lexus RX330 and his 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche without permission and rummaged through the cars. Nothing appeared to be taken at this time. The three males then crossed the street and entered his neighbors 2015 Chrysler 200 (21-001183).
4300 Greenbriar Road (DUI 21-001187):
Police conducted a traffic stop on a 2001 Pontiac Grand prix due to driving on a flat tire. While speaking to the driver, police observed the driver’s slurred speech. Police administered field sobriety tests to Christopher Lee Edwards and arrested him on suspicion of DUI. He was transported to the Hamilton County Jail, where a Search Warrant for a blood draw was executed.
