The following information was compiled from ERPD “pass along reports.”
Jan. 26 Day Shift
4200 block Spriggs Street (vandalism/burglary):
The complainant requested police respond to his home regarding vandalism after he returned home to find feces spread on the walls of his home. The complainant believes his ex-girlfriend broke into his home and spread the feces.
4320 Bennett Road (vandalism):
A caller observed a Toyota 4-Runner tearing up grass and creating deep ruts as it climbed a grassy hill on school property. The responsible parties were detained and school personnel were contacted. The suspects were school students, and school administration decided to handle the issue themselves.
1724 John Ross Road Apt. 2 (warrant service/AOA):
Police assisted CPD fugitive with serving a warrant on Tiffany Nealon at this address. She was located along with four other individuals. Nealon was taken to jail. The others were checked for warrants and released.
1410 Mack Smith Road (mental illness/misuse of 911):
Police spoke with an occupant of a room concerning abuse of 911. Dispatch and the front desk at the Budgetel stated four to five 911 calls had been made from the room over the previous two days. The occupant, who suffers from mental illness, was explained the penalty for abusing the 911 system.
6642 Ringgold Road (disorder prevention):
Rodarius Dozier requested police assist him with obtaining his property from the Econo Lodge. Police spoke with management, and Dozier was able to leave with some of his belongings.
941 Spring Creek Road (mental illness/disorder):
Hospital staff requested police assist with a drunk and mentally ill patient. Police were able to calm the patient and the hospital was able to contact his family and advise his location.
I-75 South exit ramp (hit and run arrest):
Police responded to a hit and run crash at this location and were able to arrest the fleeing suspect, Dominick Cotton, at 201 Eads Street Apt. 128. Cotton was transported to jail for driving on revoked and leaving the scene.

Night Shift
1061 Wynnwood Rd (Arrests 21-001140, 21-001141, 21-001142):
Officers observed a suspicious vehicle parked behind the car wash at 3322 Ringgold Road. Police followed the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on Wynnwood Road. James Middleton was arrested for possession of schedule II, possession of schedule V, resisting arrest, tampering with evidence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Middleton became very aggressive with officers during the stop. He attempted to fight police and swallow several bags of methamphetamine. Middleton also had active East Ridge capias warrants for possession of schedule II. Alysia Quarles was arrested for possession of schedule II, possession of schedule IV, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Quarles attempted to hide a glass pipe commonly used to smoke methamphetamine in her underwear. Quarles also had active East Ridge capias warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia. Vincent Farrow was taken into custody for possession of schedule V, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with evidence. Farrow attempted to conceal several syringes in his underwear.
6514 Ringgold Rd (Fail to Stop/Arrest 21-001148):
Police observed a black BMW parked at the gas pumps of Mapco. The male driver appeared to be unconscious. Officers aroused the driver who immediately attempted to drive away. He was stopped moments later at 6400 Ringgold Rd. The driver, Marcus Copenny, refused numerous commands to show police his hands and exit the vehicle. Officers made physical contact with Copenny through his driver’s side window and assisted him from the vehicle. He was taken into custody for DUI, driving while revoked for DUI, possession of schedule VI, possession of a legend drug, evading and resisting arrest. Post arrest, Copenny told police he was ‘Sovereign” and was not subject to obey police officers. Copenny had a dog in the car that was turned over to East Ridge Animal Services.
300 S Moore Rd (Assist Other Agency):
Chattanooga requested assistance in locating a party who may be attempting to jump from the bridge. The subject was located in Chattanooga on Spring Creek Rd and was not trying to harm himself.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 21-001136):
Taiwan Greathouse was booked on East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
601 Walnut St (Warrant Arrest 21-001137):
Michael Hall was booked on East Ridge warrants at the Hamilton County Jail.
4348 Ringgold Rd (Suspicious Person 21-001138):
Reporting party stated there was a male subject behind the old Rite-Aid building. The party was homeless and had parked there to rest.
3500 Ringgold Rd (Arrest 21-001138):
David Winters was taken into custody for Possession of Schedule I during a traffic stop.
1000 S Seminole (Misdemeanor Citation 21-001135):
Ernest Whitlock was issued a misdemeanor citation for Driving While Suspended.
