Fire Damages Pool House

A Thursday night fire damaged an outbuilding of a house on Belvoir Crest Drive.

Firefighters responded to the call in the 800 block of Belvoir Crest Drive at about 8:45 p.m., officials said. When they arrived flames were leaping from a pool house behind the house.

Firefighters were quickly able to extinguish the flames which were visible in the night sky for several blocks around. No injuries were reported.

Fire Chief Mike Williams said the fire appears to be accidental and may have been started by an electrical malfunction.
