Day Shift February 16, 2023
23-001894 – 4200 BLK Ringgold – Disorder – A high volume of high school and middle school juveniles congregate at the business after school and are raising a ruckus by throwing items, cursing and stealing.
23-001892 – Tombras Ave @ Greenbriar Rd – Check For a Hazard – The caller reported a large group of juveniles walking on Tombras Ave, impeding traffic. On arrival, there were no parties observed in the roadway.
23-001886 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – Assault/Mental Health Crisis – Police responded to on the report of an adult mental health consumer who was actively attacking his mother and a friend. Once on scene officers observed the mother actively holding him down. Police were told he attacked both female parties in the vehicle. Upon reaching the business he chased them around the car then pushed the friend to the ground. EMS responded and transported the friend to the ER. The mental health consumer was clearly having a mental crisis. His mother explained he has multiple medical diagnoses which include intellectual disability, cerebral palsy, and autism spectrum. Given his mental state he was transported to the hospital.
23-001887 – 1471 Mack Smith Rd – Suspicious Person – Police were dispatched to the above area regarding a homeless male party believed to be dumping trash behind the business. Police made contact with transient party, who advised he was simply cleaning up for the laundromat. Police were unable to determine that he contributed to the trash already there.
23-001888 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Disorder w/ a Weapon – A motorist reported to dispatch that a male driver brandished a firearm at him. The other party relocated to East Ridge Police Department. The original caller parked across the street and waited for police. The subject denied brandishing a firearm but did possess a handgun in the vehicle. Upon further investigation, police discovered the incident occurred on Brainerd Road and the original caller declined to prosecute.
23-001884 – 3400 Gail Drive- Stolen Vehicle – A Hyundai Elantra was stolen from the apartment’s parking lot sometime during the night. Vehicle has front end damage, rear bumper is nailed on with nails and the right rear wheel well is black from contact damage.
23-001889 – 6600 Ringgold Rd – Warrant Arrest – A party was arrested on out-of-state fugitive warrants during a traffic stop for a registration violation.
23-001903 – 3800 BLK Altamirah Dr– Assault/Mental Health Crisis – A female mental health patient who resides at this address assaulted two staff members. She was transported to the hospital for an evaluation.
23-001902, 23-001904 – 1000 Bass Pro Drive – Shoplifters – Loss Prevention reported two male parties were actively stealing items. Police intercepted them in the parking lot where they were found to be in possession of multiple boxes of ammunition, two pair of Costa sunglasses, and a knife. Both parties were issued misdemeanor citations for Theft. They were also issued criminal trespass warnings.
23-001905 – 1000 Bass Pro Drive – Shoplifter – While dealing with the above incident, Loss Prevention discovered another white male party had just stolen multiple items of merchandise and left in a vehicle. All information including vehicle tag number was given to patrol. An arrest warrant will be sought upon identification of the suspect.
Night Shift February 16, 2023
23-001922 – 700 BLK Summit Avenue – Property Damage – Police were dispatched to this location regarding a possible crash with unknown injuries. Upon arrival, it was determined a vehicle was attempting to back out of a driveway and ran into the yard causing the vehicle to first slide into two gas meters connected to the side of the duplex. This caused both meters to be ripped off the wall and a large gas leak occurred. The vehicle came to rest by sliding into the side of another parked vehicle. ERFD and Chattanooga Gas responded. A property damage report completed.
23-001909 – 4214 Ringgold Rd – Warrant service – A man already incarcerated at the jail for unrelated charges was served an Alias Capias (driving while revoked) warrant while at the jail.
23-001914 – 3725 Fountain Ave- Assist EMS – Police responded to assist EMS on a medical alarm. ERFD arrived and forced entry. Police cleared the apartment, no one was home.
