February 10 – Day Shift
23-001635 – 5400 BLK Marion Ave – Auto Theft – The caller advised her 2011 silver BMW 28i with gold rims was stolen while warming it up this morning. The vehicle has stickers on the rear windshield and the keys were inside it. The vehicle was entered into NCIC.
23-001646 – 3508 Ringgold Rd – Shoplifter – Walgreen’s reported an older male and a female picked up some plastic bags from the cosmetics counter and then selected several cans of baby formula, which they concealed them in and left the business. Police checked the area and located the subjects in room #76 at the Cascades Motel. Both were found to have the items in their possession and were issued citations in lieu of arrest for shoplifting.
23-001656 – 1517 Tombras Ave – Unknown Medical/Disorder Prevention – Police responded to the area for a juvenile female on the ground and experiencing convulsions. On arrival, police located several juveniles and the party’s guardian standing around them. Upon speaking with the guardian it was learned the party was not having a seizure but was possibly having a panic attack in an attempt to avoid trouble and get her way. The juvenile was escorted to the guardian’s vehicle; they left the area.
23-001663 – 1000 Bass Pro Dr – Shoplifting – A male and female stole several boxes of Federal pistol ammo from Bass Pro. Pictures of the suspects and suspect vehicle were provided to police by loss prevention. The male had a very distinctive neck tattoo and tattoos on his arms. They left in a Nissan sedan. The female party was identified. Warrants for Shoplifting will be taken out on the female and the male suspect upon identification.
February 10 – Night Shift
23-001666 – 3600 BLK Old Ringgold Road – Theft – Police responded in reference to a theft call and made contact with the reporting party. She stated that her ex-boyfriend had stolen three handguns (unknown serial numbers) from this location. The suspect was located by the Soddy Daisy Police Department and taken into custody for Felon in Possession of a firearm and simple possession of narcotics. East Ridge will be seeking charges following proof of ownership.
23-001635 – 5400 BLK Marion Avenue – Supplement – Chattanooga police officers recovered a stolen 2011 BMW abandoned at 2108 Davenport Dr. This vehicle was originally reported stolen in East Ridge. Chattanooga Police Department’s case number is # 23-014723. The victim was notified and the vehicle was removed from NCIC.
23-001668 – 3800 BLK Kingwood Circle – Assist EMS – EMS requested PD on a call where an elderly female fell outside. It was determined the patient has dementia and had been outside for a few hours.
23-001687 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A female party was arrested and booked at the Hamilton County Jail on an East Ridge warrant for driving on suspended (forfeiture capias).
23-001685 – 6513 Ringgold Road – Traffic Crash / DUI Arrest – Following a crash investigation in the parking lot of the Waffle House, a man was taken into custody for DUI. He was cited for Due Care.
February 11 – Day Shift
23-001706 – 500 BLK Cedar Glen Circle – Assault – Police were dispatched to the area of Glen Errol Way at Frawley Rd on a Disorder w/ a Weapon. A male mental health consumer reported a male party was chasing him with a gun. The other party called in advising the complainant assaulted him. Once on scene police learned that the complainant approached the other party in his driveway on Cedar Glen Circle. Police reviewed surveillance footage showing the complainant approaching the resident and his wife, then punching him repeatedly in the head. The complainant threatened to assault the victim’s wife then walked away. The victim went into the house to retrieve a pistol and came back outside. The complainant was taken into custody and charged with two counts of Simple Assault.
23-001690 – 6300 BLK Ringgold Rd – Assist EMS – Police responded to Hardee’s with EMS for an assault victim. The complainant stated sometime during the early morning hours he was assaulted in Catoosa County. Officers spoke with Catoosa deputies who verified the event but stated he refused to cooperate with prosecution and refused EMS. He was transported from Hardees to the hospital with possible broken ribs and a deep cut over his eye.
23-001692 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Rd – Suspicious Person – Police made contact inside Mr. Speedy gas station with a female subject who had just been discharged from Parkridge East. She opened a Coke bottle without paying and refused to leave. Management declined to prosecute for the theft. She was given a courtesy ride to Chattanooga.
23-001699 – 6500 BLK Ringgold Rd – DUI Arrest – A man was arrested for DUI following a traffic stop.
No Number – 4000 Ringgold Rd – BOLO – Police received a BOLO for a suspicious vehicle leaving the parking lot of Family Dollar. The caller stated a male subject in a red older model sedan was wearing what appeared to be a ski mask. The caller also stated there was a shotgun in the vehicle. Officers checked the area and nothing was located.
February 11 – Night Shift
23-001728 – 3800 BLK Ringgold Road – Fight – While patrolling in the area police observed a fight in the parking lot. While attempting to disperse the crowd, a male became belligerent with police. He was arrested for Public Intoxication and Resisting Arrest.
23-001719 – 5611 Ringgold Road- Theft – The complainant stated she was working as a cashier at the business when a male entered the store and stole her purse. The suspect is described as follows: male, black hoodie, curly hair, beard, and Camo colored face covering (only covering nose and mouth).
23-001687 – 4214 Ringgold Road – Warrant Service – A woman was arrested and booked at the Hamilton County Jail on an East Ridge Warrant.
23-001727 – 4100 BLK Bennett Road – DUI 3rd Arrest – Following a traffic stop a man was taken into custody for DUI 3rd, Reckless Driving and two Hamilton County warrants. He was issued two traffic citations.
23-001729 – 1100 BLK Greenslake Road – DUI 2ND Arrest – Police were dispatched to this location for an unconscious male. On arrival and following a police investigation , the driver was taken into custody for DUI 2ND , Reckless Driving and Driving on Revoked.
February 12 – Day Shift
23-001744 – 1300 BLK Spring Creek Rd – Residential Fire – Police units arrived at the scene of a residential fire and observed smoke and fire coming from the back of the house. Officers forced entry into the home to insure there was no risk of injury to human or animal life. Police did not locate any people but encountered two dogs who were removed and placed into a patrol car until East Ridge Animal Services arrived to provide care. The homeowner returned to the residence a short time later.
23-001733 – 700 BLK Germantown Rd – Suspicious Person – Police responded to the report of a party sleeping near the front door of the church. Officers encountered a homeless male. He was checked for warrants and transported to the Community Kitchen at his request.
23-001734 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Suicide Threats – Officers responded to a report of a male party considering suicide. The man stated he did not wish to harm himself and did not wish to seek any form of treatment. An information check revealed he had active warrants through Soddy Daisy for narcotics related offenses. He was transported to Silverdale.
23-001740 – 3600 BLK Ringgold Rd – Arrest – While officers were dealing with the suicidal male subject a second male party arrived to visit him. The man exited a blue Honda and approached the room. Police noticed indicators he may have been under the influence of narcotics. He was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and fentanyl. He was charged accordingly and also charged with DUI then transported to Silverdale.
23-001743 – 941 Spring Creek Rd – Suspicious Person – An off-duty officer working at Parkridge East Hospital requested assistance from patrol in attempting to locate a male subject accused of stalking an employee. The suspect had been asked by officials from the hospital to leave several times but continued to loiter on the campus. His statements to hospital staff caused police to believe he may be under the influence of a narcotic and potentially dangerous. He was not located on the property. A county wide BOLO was circulated due to the man’s behavior. A short time later East Ridge Police were notified he had been involved in a traffic crash in Harrison and was transported to an area hospital.
23-001745 – 1000 Bass Pro Drive – Theft – Bass Pro loss prevention called to report a theft in progress to police. Officers arrived and located a male subject matching the description given to police hiding behind the store. Contact was made with him. He had in his possession three specialty knives he had taken from the store. The suspect was issued a misdemeanor citation for theft and trespassed from the property.
23-001747 – 3500 BLK Ringgold Rd – Arrest – Officers responded to a report of a female concealing merchandise on her person at Walgreen’s. Police made contact with her and, after a brief conversation, confessed to shoplifting. She was also found to be in possession of fentanyl and drug paraphernalia. An information check revealed active warrants through Hamilton County for narcotics possession and DUI. She was charged accordingly and transported to Silverdale.
23-001731- 5700 BLK Ringgold Road- Shoplifting – Police responded to Dollar General for a reported shoplifting. Two male suspects loaded two shopping carts full of laundry detergent, alcohol, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning product. They walked out of the store without paying. The suspects and a driver left in what is believed to be a white 2003 Nissan Maxima with a grey or red colored trunk. The vehicle’s Alabama registration comes back to a 2011 Nissan Altima.
23-001736 – 5400 BLK Connell St – Evading – While looking for the suspect vehicle from the Dollar General theft, police spotted a silver Nissan sedan believed to be the vehicle traveling west on Connell St. It was being closely followed by a silver Chevrolet sedan with temp tag or no tag. Once police got behind both vehicles they traveled at a high rate of speed north on Altamaha. The Nissan turned west onto Anderson Avenue and pulled over. Police initiated a traffic stop on the sedan due to window tint violation and reasonable suspicion it was the suspect vehicle. Upon approaching the vehicle it fled westbound at a high rate of speed. It was last seen approaching S. Moore Rd.
February 12 – Night Shift
23-001768 – 3600 BLK Fountain Avenue – Intoxicated Person – Following police responding to an assault call at this location police determined that an assault did not occur and the reporting party was intoxicated. The reporting party would not return to the home and was arrested for Public Intoxication. The male refused to identify himself to police and will be booked as a John Doe on the charge of Public Intoxication. The John Doe was issued a No Bond until the time he identifies himself to Sheriffs department staff or his fingerprints are retuned. Police returned to service following completion of report.
23-001765 – 6400 BLK Ringgold Road – DUI Arrest – Following a traffic stop at this location, the driver was arrested for DUI. He was issued 3 traffic citations. He was transported to Silverdale.
23-001771 – 5700 BLK State Line Road – Drug Overdose – Police were dispatched to this location for an overdose. Police administered one dose of Narcan. EMS arrived on scene and handled the call. Overdose report was completed.
23- 001770 – 900 BLK Spring Creek Road – Traffic Stop / Arrest – A man was arrested following a traffic stop for Felon in possession of firearm / Possession of Stolen Firearm / Meth for resale / Fentanyl for resale.
