The following information was compiled from “pass along reports” provided by the administration of the East Ridge Police Department.
January 28 – Day Shift
21-001202- Vehicle Pursuit-
The Dade County Sheriffs Office and Trenton Police chased a white pickup truck from their jurisdiction into Tennessee. They traveled through Chattanooga and into East Ridge. The pursuit was ended at 3511 Ringgold Road by Georgia officers. On our arrival the officers were actively fighting with the resisting suspect. Our officers were able to handcuff the suspect after arrival. The suspect was identified as Elvis Oscar Torres Martinez. He was transported to 601 with several state and local charges.
21-001197- 6750 Ringgold Road (Community Park Baptist)- Suspicious Person-
The caller advised of a male sitting on the church steps. On arrival police encountered Michael M. He was checked for warrants, but none were located. He requested a ride to the Brainard Wal Mart. His request was granted.
21-001205- 4348 Ringgold Road (Sonic)- Suspicious Vehicle/Person-
The caller advised of a white male in a silver Honda Civic sitting behind the vacant building next door (4350 Ringgold Road). The male was told to leave the Sonic property on 1-25 due to him causing a disorder. On arrival police contacted the male, Kevin K. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
21-001208- 639 Camp Jordan Parkway (Chick Fil A)- Suspicious Person/Trespass-
The caller advised the homeless male from 1-23 was back in their lot. On arrival officers located Michael Williams. He was detained and about to be transported when he advised he was having heart issues. A medical unit was called, and Williams was transported to a local hospital. Warrants are being sought.
21-001209- 3100 Ringgold Road- Citizen Assist-
The caller requested police escort her to a homeless camp in the area so she could leave donated items with the homeless. On arrival police stood by while she left the donations.

January 28 –Night Shift
3657 Ringgold Road / Traffic Stop (21-001224):
Haley Brown was arrested for possession of schedule II for resale, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop in which police located 21.2 grams of suspected cocaine and 2.2 grams of methamphetamine inside her bag.
1410 Mack Smith/A.O.A/Warrant service(21-002293):
Police helped Hamilton County Fugitive apprehend David Minshew, who had several warrants through the county, including aggravated assault against police.
3984 Ringgold Road/Drugs(21-001222):
Thomas Bragg was arrested for poss of Sch II and driving on revoked(DUI) during a traffic stop at this location.
2300 Westside Dr/Drugs(21-001230):
Robert Thornburgh was arrested for poss of meth, poss of Sch IV, and drug para at this location during a traffic stop. Michelle Hill was issued a misdemeanor citation in lieu of arrest for drug paraphernalia.
601 Walnut Street (Warrant Service 20-016590):
Police served arrest warrant on Anel Sahbaz for Vandalism. Mr. Sahbaz was in custody at the Hamilton County Jail.

January 29 – Day Shift
5911 Ringgold Road (theft):
Tweety’s Auto contacted police to report a tag, TN 2M92E8, stolen off a Honda rental van sometime overnight. No suspect information at this point.
1417 St Thomas Street (mental illness):
Bryant B. contacted police to tell them he was being followed by “gangbangers” over a conflict involving a prostitute. Bryant requested a cab to take him to another location to hide from the people following him. According to the Motel 6 desk clerk, Bryant had rented a room but had been wandering around knocking on doors and acting paranoid.
950 Spring Creek Road (AOA):
An apartment resident was experiencing an oven fire, and police were able to put out the fire using a nearby fire extinguisher prior to firemen arrival.
4222 Ringgold Road (drug arrest):
John Steskal was taken into custody for public intoxication and possession of drug paraphernalia after police observed him behaving strangely behind the Speedway.
6303 Ringgold Road (suspicious people):
Management of Shur Shine Car Wash asked police to closely monitor their property at night due to a high number of suspicious people on the property at night.

January 29 – Night Shift
5700 Ringgold Rd 21-001264 (arrest):
Hispanic male taken into custody following a traffic stop at this location for failure to identify.
302 Dunlap Ave (Suspicious Person 21-001261):
A female resident reported a Jerry A. party was on the property throwing gang signs. Police encountered him in the parking lot. He advised he was visiting a friend there. He was checked for warrants and sent on his way.
900 block Belvoir Hills Drive (Disorder 21-001265):
Police responded to verbal disorder caused by a female with her mother, at this location. The mother was found to be heavily impaired on methamphetamine at the residence. She was transported to Parkridge East for evaluation due to her poor mental state. DCS report was filed on the mother due to her drug use around her 15-year-old daughter.
600 Block Camp Jordan Parkway/ D.U.I (21-001272):
Following a traffic stop, police arrested Marvin Davis for D.U.I, tampering with evidence and possession of marijuana for resale.
5811 Ringgold Rd. / Abandoned Child:
Police responded in reference to a child which was left in a vehicle while the mother was shopping at Elations. Police located the child which turned out to be an older teenager.
6514 Ringgold Rd / Suspicious Person:
The clerk at the Mapco called in reference to a male party who was standing outside who she thought was suspicious but was not sure why. The male party in question was simply a paying customer who was waiting on a ride.
South Terrace/Belvoir Ave (Poss. Drug Paraphernalia 21-001276):
Kevin Thurman was issued a misdemeanor citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia following a traffic stop at this location.
5700 US-41 (traffic 21-001264):
Traffic stop arrest of Doe, John for being unlicensed and having no form of identification.
