A man who was displeased with one-half slice of cheese being considered “extra cheese” on his Fish Filet sandwich at McDonald’s precipitated a police call last Saturday.
According to a police report, officers were called to the McDonald’s on Ringgold Road at about 9 p.m. The manager said that when a customer in the drive-thru ordered extra cheese on his sandwich and discovered it was half a slice, per restaurant policy, he became “disorderly.” The report states that the manager told officers the man “became overly angry and disorderly” during his complaint of having only a half slice added to his Fish Filet. The female manager said that the man called her a “f—ing b–ch” and lunged himself from his vehicle’s window and into close proximity of her face while at the drive-thru window.
The report states that the customer then parked his car and came inside the restaurant to confront the manager and staff. Police spoke with the highly dissatisfied customer and the manager. The report states “the charges regarding the extra order of cheese are understandable, however, it did not justify (the customer’s) alleged behavior.”
At the request of the manager, the disgruntled customer was issued a Criminal Trespass warning for this particular McDonald’s location.
_ 639 Camp Jordan Pkwy.: Police were dispatched to the America’s Best Value Inn last Saturday in regard to a stolen auto. According to a police report, an officer spoke with the victim, who said that at about 1:30 a.m. somebody took his 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 from the parking lot. He said inside the truck was several pieces of expensive plumbing tools that he uses in his work. The tools, the victim said, were valued at about $11,000. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
Prior to this report being filed, police were dispatched to 3112 Mosley Circle in regard to suspicious activity. Dispatch advised the officer that a woman pulled into the complainant’s driveway in a gray Dodge truck of which she was unfamiliar. The report states that as the officer was turning onto Mosley Circle, the woman in the gray Dodge truck drove past him and turned south onto S. Seminole Drive. The officer turned around and caught the vehicle, which had the tag of the Dodge reported stolen.
The female driver, Haley Neal, was taken into custody, the report states. Upon searching the vehicle it was discovered the ignition switch had been removed from the vehicle and the rear window was broken out. The $11,000 worth of tools and equipment in the truck was missing. The owner of the vehicle was notified and the defendant was taken to Hamilton County Jail.
_ 5301 Ringgold Rd.: Police responded to the Walgreen’s last Saturday on a reported theft. According to a police report, an employee told police that he and the manager saw on video surveillance a woman stuffing items into her purse. When the woman tried to leave, the employee confronted her and asked her to give the products back. The report states that the suspect refused and pushed the employee away from her. The suspect went outside and got into a silver Pontiac. When the employee ran behind the car to get a tag number, the suspect yelled “If you don’t get out of the way I’ll run over you.” The suspect put the car in reverse and began backing out. The employee got out of the way and the car headed north on McBrien Road. Walgreen officials said they would furnish police with video surveillance. The report states that the tag on the car came back to “Tweety’s Auto Rental.” No further information is available at this time.
